Anne Robinson 'dating' Queen Camilla's ex-husband Andrew Parker Bowles
Anne Robinson and Andrew Parker Bowles are reportedly dating and have been together for a year.
The telly queen is said to have the approval of Andrew's ex-wife, Queen Camilla. It's claimed that the couple enjoyed one of their first dates at a lavish dinner party which David Cameron also attended, with their relationship being an "open secret".
Sources claim that Anne, 79, has been boasting that she is the daughter of a market trader and couldn't be further from the House of Windsor if she tried but is said to be head over heels in love. Although the pair are yet to confirm their romance, they are believed to have made a conscious decision to keep things low-key.
"They were set up by a mutual friend," a source said before adding to The Sun: "Annie remains fiercely independent and while she has staff, who regularly whip up meals for the pair, she's been impressed with Andrew's own cooking skills. The Brigadier and the Queen of Mean does have a certain ring to it — but there's no chance of them living together as she's far too self-sufficient."
The publication goes on to claim that Brigadier Andrew, 83, is one of few people who can make Anne laugh and is allowed to poke fun at the star who is known for her tough personality. The former Countdown star is rumoured to have had Andrew as her plus-one at several dinner parties at her sprawling home in the Cotswolds.
Anne's forgotten relationship with Camilla's ex - and the royals' thawing bondCrosby-born Anne has been married twice, first to Charles Wilson between 1968 and their divorce in 1973. She later married John Penrose in 1980 before they divorced in 2007.
Although she maintains her working-class routes, Anne attended boarding school and frequently holidayed in France and stayed at the Carlton Hotel in Cannes as a child. Her mother, Anne, worked on a market stall before she married Anne's dad, who had a wholesale chicken dealership.
Following the death of her parents, Anne inherited the market stall in Liverpool and went on to oversee it becoming the largest wholesale poultry business in the north. Meanwhile, Brigadier Parker Bowles was the great-grandson of Thomas Parker, 6th Earl of Macclesfield. His parents, Ann de Trafford and his dad, Derek Parker Bowles, were friends of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, who is said to be his godmother.
Meanwhile, he acted as a Page at the Coronation of the late Queen Elizabeth. He married the then Camilla Shand in 1973, despite her highly publicised relationship with the then Prince Charles. They share two children, Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes.
Camilla and Charles continued their relationship, despite being married. Following their respective divorces, they married in 2005 during a Civil Ceremony at Windsor Guild Hall. Although she was once dubbed the outcast, Camilla went on to win over the hearts of the Royal Family, as well as many Brits, with the late Queen Elizabeth stating her fondness for her daughter-in-law in her final years.
The pair became King and Queen on September 9, 2022, following the death of Queen Elizabeth.
