Fred Sirieix has revealed how another member of camp almost quit last week - after being dragged down by Jamie Lynn Spears' emotions and her walking away from the show.

Jamie Lynn quit the series last week on "medical grounds" and had been saying she was too homesick to stay. And her feelings rubbed off on Josie Gibson who was worried about her five-year-old son Reggie. Fred, 51, who chatted to Reggie the morning he was evicted from the jungle, said Josie was close to leaving.

He explained: "When Jamie Lynn had her thing and she left, it affected Josie a lot. She was crying because Jamie Lynn was leaving and she has a great heart Josie and she was feeling the pain for her but also she was feeling the pain onto herself and thinking about Reggie and she just wanted to leave.

"I was speaking to her and I said, your son is five years old and the one who feels guilty is you. I have felt guilty all my life I have been working in restaurants 15 hours a day, I started my consultancy company and I was working weekends, during the holidays to build a future for everyone, I know the guilt.

"But they get up and they miss mummy but you give them some toys, they go to the pool and they are happy they go to bed and it’s forgotten. I said you are the only one who is feeling guilty, you need to get it out of your head."

Fred also admitted he has made mistakes with Josie and been too overly critical of her cooking. Asked if he would do anything differently if he did I'm A Celebrity again, he said: "The one thing I should have done differently is let Josie cook, that is what I should have done. That is the only thing, I should have sat back and let cook. You play a game and it depends how you play it and sometimes you play it wrong."

He also said he would like to find Josie a new man, although he most likely would not put her on his show First Dates.
