Adam Collard's surprise over Laura Woods romance after putting on 'worst game'
Adam Collard insists he has found the ‘real deal’ in sports presenter Laura Woods – but is surprised he landed her.
The 28-year-old reality star found fame on Love Island back in 2018, only to return to the show in 2022 with a trail of broken hearts in his wake. Adam then caused more scandal on E4’s Celebs Go Dating this year where fans were outraged to see him toy with Lottie Moss’s emotions as he showed interest in her only to then date other women in front of her.
Fans of the Geordie lad were then surprised to see him linked to 36-year-old sports host Laura – but it seems this romance is different from the ones he has enjoyed before. For Adam has declared he is taking this relationship very seriously and even thinks she is his “soul mate”.
Opening up to SafeBettingSites.com, Adam said he isn’t looking for short term flings and is in it for the long run with Laura. He declared: “I wouldn’t get in a relationship with someone that I didn’t feel like it could last forever. For someone who has the reputation of playing the most games (because of Love Island), I’m honestly heart on my sleeve and I can’t fake anything.

And Adam thinks a key element to his current romance is that he didn’t enter it while on a reality show. He confessed: “The biggest difference between Laura & my exes? Probably that I’ve not met her on Love Island.
“You can’t have a casual day in my life – it instantly turns into being a girlfriend because we’ve been spotted somewhere and that is the problem. With the media, it is a lot of pressure. Hypothetically, if I went out with someone tonight and got spotted, they are instantly in a relationship with me.

I’m not doing things because of the pressures of TV or social media.”
He also joked that his chat up game was not on point when he first met Laura and tried to win her over. He said: “[First meeting Laura] was probably my worst game ever. Probably the least smooth I’ve ever been, but then again, that’s why it feels a lot more genuine.
“The funniest part about the story is that I walked past Laura the first time I met her, and didn’t actually know her by name. I think because it was like that and because there were no preconceived notions or pressure, that’s why it works. I’m just Adam. She’s just Laura.”
One of Adam’s former girlfriends is Rosie Williams – but the model doesn’t have positive words to say about their past relationship. Indeed, Rosie has issued a warning to Laura not to trust Adam.
The brunette beauty told the Daily Mail in October: “Adam and I were short lived, and it was five years ago now but when he went back on Love Island the second time, I hoped that he didn't treat the girls the same way that he did with me and Zara McDermott... I hoped that he went on the show to find love as he said.
“Unfortunately, the same toxic pattern in his behaviour emerged... People like to tell me things and again in Celebs Go Dating, the exact same routine carried through, so he really hasn't changed. His TV appearances speak for themselves!”
