Charlotte Tilbury celebrated by Kate Moss and Amal Clooney at the Fashion Awards
Charlotte Tilbury has been celebrated for her contributions to the fashion and beauty industry.
The entrepreneur and makeup artist was awarded the Special Recognition Award from The British Fashion Council at the annual Fashion Awards. She was given the accolade by close friend Amal Clooney and supported by Kate Moss at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Monday night.
She is the founder, chairperson, and chief creative officer of successful self-titled makeup and skincare brand Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Ltd. Charlotte is also a contributing beauty editor for British Vogue and global ambassador for Women International. Her award celebrates her contributions to the beauty industry, having worked on over 180 magazine covers and over 600 editorial and advertising campaigns.

To celebrate the special moment, Charlotte was joined by family and friends including close friend Amal Clooney, Kate Moss and Jourdan Dunn and Olivia Culpo, Lucien Laviscount, Meredith Duxbury, Coco and Charlotte’s nieces Bella and Sofia Tilbury.
Upon receiving the award, Charlotte said: "I am so thankful to Caroline Rush and the British Fashion Council for my Special Recognition Award. Over the past 30 years I have been lucky enough to have worked with the most extraordinary and talented photographers, designers, editors, stylists, celebrities, and models and live out my dreams as a makeup artist. I owe this award to each and everyone of them and I am so grateful for their support throughout my career.

Friend Amal Clooney, who presenter Charlotte with the award, said: “I first met Charlotte when we were neighbours in Notting Hill, and she did the trial for my wedding makeup. I was aghast when she showed up to the house with five suitcases of product, by the end of the session she was not only my makeup artist - she was my friend. At the wedding she was our guest.
"When I think about Charlotte, some words that spring to mind are… Trailblazer, Brilliant, Spiritual, Savvy, Compassionate, Fun, Dancefloor, Champagne, All-Nighter. I should probably stop there. I adore this woman, she is a dear friend to me and my family – she is generous without limit or calculation – not only to those she loves but also through her charitable work. George and I are so grateful for her support for the Clooney foundation. She is all heart and an inspiration to us all”
Supermodel Kate Moss added: “I am so excited to be celebrating my dear friend Charlotte tonight! Charlotte and I have worked together for over 30 years, since the start of both of our careers.
