Sam Smith puts on leggy display in mini skirt and heels at London Fashion Awards
Singer Sam Smith struck a stylish pose as they posed for cameras on the red carpet at the British Fashion Awards.
The non-binary singer wasn't just there to look effortlessly stylish and chic, as they were also honoured with the Cultural Innovator Award at the event. The Cultural Innovator Award honours figures in the entertainment industry for key fashion moments, like Sam's iconic latex outfit for the 2023 Brit Awards.
In February, the hitmaker wore a latex outfit which featured a rather high neck, sleeves and legs which appeared to be overinflated and a zip going up the front of his all-in-one look. The star opted to rock a pair of heeled boots and a pair of tiny earrings as they posed for photographs at the music events earlier this year.

Sam Smith was being honoured with the Cultural Innovator Award at the event (PA)To celebrate their award, Sam chose a similar all black outfit for the event. They wore a thigh skimming black mini skirt with high platform boots. They added an oversized black blazer to finish the look as they posed on the red carpet ahead of collecting their award.
Speaking about the award and the choice to give it to Sam, chief executive officer at the British Fashion Council Caroline Rush praised the singer for their "groundbreaking" fashion choices. She said: "Sam is a true cultural innovator who has fearlessly pushed the boundaries of both fashion and entertainment. Smith's unapologetic and groundbreaking style choices have dominated the industry in 2023 and we are incredibly grateful for their continued support of U.K. designers."

She added: "It is imperative the awards are reflective of our incredibly multifaceted industry and its brands and creatives."

Sam alongside Fifth Harmony singer Normani were sued by songwriters Jordan Vincent, Christopher Miranda and Rosco Banlaoi in March 2022 over their 2015 track of the same name.
However, Sam and Normani won after a federal judge agreed to dismiss the complaint. According to Rolling Stone, Judge Wesley Hsu ruled that ‘most if not all of the Plaintiff’s claimed similarities were not protectable by law'. He found that the phrase Dancing with a Stranger was not 'unique enough to be protected by copyright' and threw out the case against them.
