Sky Sports increase Premier League coverage by 70% as latest rights unveiled
Sky Sports have announced that from 2025 they will show a record 215 Premier League matches per season.
The deal will last until 2029 after the broadcast giants won four of the five rights packages on offer, while TNT Sports snagged the other. These figures mean Sky will cover 70 per cent more Premier League games than they currently do.
One of the changes means Sky will be able to show multiple games at the same time in the Sunday 2pm kick-off slot. TNT will continue to host the 12:30 timeslot on a Saturday afternoon, as well as two mid-week rounds of fixtures, taking their total tally of games to 52 over the course of a campaign.
The Premier League's television deal with UK broadcasters is believed to be worth a staggering £6.7billion, a four per cent increase from the current value. This Boxing Day will see Amazon Prime show games as well as another mid-week round of contests.
However, Amazon have not won any of the five broadcast packages up for grabs this time around.

A statement from the Premier League read: "The Premier League has concluded deals with Sky Sports and TNT Sports for five UK live packages and with BBC Sport for the free-to-air highlights package. All three agreements will cover the four-year period starting Season 2025/26 and are the largest sports media rights deals ever concluded in the UK."
Sky Sports will also retain its flagship Super Sunday programme. For the first time, all final games in the season will be live in one place, ensuring future title races and relegation scraps are covered in all their glory.
