Former first daughter Ivanka Trump spent the night at a concert rocking out in a tiny miniskirt, leather jacket and red lipstick as she put her dad's legal woes behind her.

Ivanka headed to see The Black Keys at the Riptide Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with husband Jared Kushner on Saturday night, December 2, before the pair headed out for a romantic meal. Rock duo The Black Keys were headlining the festival described as the "ultimate celebration of music and beach vibes".

Sharing a carousel of five pictures on her Instagram page, Ivanka wrote: "Felt the fierce energy of The Black Keys last night! Thanks Patrick Carney [of] The Black Keys for always bringing the [ fire emoji]."

The former president's daughter rocked an all-black ensemble, complete with a black leather jacket and red lipstick, looking every bit the part of the alt-rock fan. In one picture shared to her Instagram account, she was joined by the family's newly adopted German SHepherd-Lab mix, Simba.

Simba looked thoroughly unimpressed at Ivanka's mirror selfie as he sat in the background. The family brought home the "big hearted and goofy" pup in early November after adopting him from Big Dog Ranch Rescue. They said the "little warrior puppy was found abandoned and emaciated alongside a highway in Alabama".

In another snap, Ivanka posed next to actress Rachel Korine, who also donned all black, backstage at the show. The concert took place just a 40-minute drive from where Ivanka and Jared Kushner live with their three children on Indian Creek Island.

It appears Ivanka, 42, and Jared, 43, enjoyed a romantic dinner for two on Saturday night as well as they were pictured at the Italian restaurant Louie Bossi's. The couple recently returned from several days in the Bahamas with their family and looked tanned and relaxed as they posed before dinner.

It's a stark contrast from the stresses that Ivanka has faced lately as her father's New York civil fraud trial continues. The trial, brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, began in October, with Trump and other defendants, including his companies and sons Donald Jr and Eric, of inflating the value of several of his assets, including Mar-a-Lago, to obtain favourable loans and insurance deals.

Ivanka was called to the witness stand on November 8, where she spent five hours being questioned about her father's business dealings. During her time on the stand, Ivanka was presented with documents reflecting her involvement in securing favourable loans for the Trump Organization that required guarantees about her father's net worth.

Despite being involved with the Trump Organization, Ivanka is not being investigated in the civil fraud trial. During her testimony, Ivanka tried to distance herself from her father's financial statements, testifying she did not know what valuations were included in the documents.

She was also keen to point out that she had distanced herself from the Trump Organization since Trump took office. With her father facing multiple legal battles, Ivanka has distanced herself even further as he gears up for another presidential battle.

While she served as her father's White House adviser alongside her husband, she said previously that she would not be as involved in her father's 2024 campaign as she spent more time focusing on her family. She and her family have been seen at several high-profile fundraising events, including one at Trump's Bedminster golf course, though they appear to be attending as family rather than in an official advisory capacity.
