In many respects, the royals are worlds apart from average Britons – but Queen Camilla's recent comments are a reminder that all of us are still human.

Whilst speaking to members of the charity Dementia Northern Ireland during her visit to the historic Armagh Robinson library, the 75-year-old Queen revealed that even she sometimes takes her body too far. "I love gardening. I'm a passionate gardener. And it's very therapeutic. But I always stay too long. Everything cre aks and groans", she explained.

Queen Camilla is known to be green-fingered, having made a special guest appearance on the BBC Two series Gardeners' World in 2021. The Queen also met children from Drelincourt Primary School and signed a commemorative photograph for the museum.

The Timesreported that six-year-old Angela Baleva, for whom English is a second language, presented the Queen with a coloured-in picture and said: "I told the Queen I thought she was beautiful and she said thank you." Meanwhile, King Charles attended a service at St Patrick's Cathedral in Armagh, Co. Armagh.

Later, the pair were treated to a performance at Market Theatre Square in Armagh that featured Ulster Scots, Irish, Chinese, and South Asian cultures. Taking to the stage to thank the community for its hospitality, King Charles said: "I did just want to say before we leave that it's been the greatest pleasure to join you here today. I realise it was 23 years ago since I was last here and, I think, the Market Place building, which I'm so pleased to see is still going strong and I hope making a huge difference to Armagh."

He apologised for "totally" disrupting school exams for the children who greeted him and Camilla during the two-day visit, but added they could blame him if they failed to pass. "If they don't pass their exams, it's bound to be my fault," he said.

"But thank you for the warmth of your welcome and indeed for showing us just what an enormously diverse and a number of cultures and traditions there are here now in this part of Northern Ireland."
