Gary O’Neil says he has no intention of meddling in planned fan protests over VAR.

A group calling themselves: ‘Old Gold Pack’ are looking to distribute thousands of placards and are making banners to show their displeasure ahead of the game against Nottingham Forest next week after seeing a string of decisions go against their club.

‌ Wolves have received two apologies from the referees’ body, the PGMOL, while O’Neil reckoned poor calls have cost his club seven points this season.‌ After two penalties and a decision over a ‘soft’ Carlos Vinicius butt were added to the list of grievances last week, the fans have now decided to take action.

‌They are asking for donations to fund the spending with a spokesperson saying: “We want to be a voice for the fans - not just Wolves’ fans but supporters in the Premier League, in general.

“There’s a feeling that everyone is fed up with the inconsistency of VAR. It’s changing the game for the worse. It’s like Gary O’Neil said: ‘Enough is enough.’

‌Wolves' boss said he had been getting feedback over the weight of decisions that had gone against the club. He said: "I feel the fans' frustrations, Back in the day, I was a supporter myself.

‌"They feel passionately about their club, and if you feel things are going against you, it is frustrating. I bumped into a few of them this week at a coffee shop and the train station, I had good chats about how they feel about it.

‌"My message to them and all of the fans is, they have the freedom to decide whatever they want to do around the situation.‌ From my point of view, we need them to keep creating the same atmosphere and backing the players.

"Molineux has been an incredible place for me to lead the team with the atmosphere they've created. That's what myself and the players feel strongly about. The connection with us, we need them, they need us.”

Meanwhile, O’Neil said that Pablo Sarabia has been spoken to after posting a ‘ponder’ emoji on his Instagram after failing to get onto the pitch at Craven Cottage last week.‌ Wolves’ boss said: "I welcome disappointment, but Pablo knows how I feel about the social media post.

‌"I know how Pablo feels about it, he's apologised to the group.‌ He understands that won't happen again - but I understand his frustration.

‌"The sequence of events on Monday was unbelievably unfortunate for him. We had his name drawn up and ready to come on, then Hwang scores and the game changed slightly.

‌“The game went a slightly different way, but if he keeps working hard, I guarantee he’ll get minutes. Pablo's working extremely hard, I guarantee he'll get minutes.”
