Jonathan Bailey will return as Anthony Bridgerton, with co-star Simone Ashley set to reprise her role as his wife Kate Bridgerton. Luke Thompson will be back as Benedict Bridgerton and Claudia Jessie returns as Eloise Bridgerton.
Phoebe Dynevor however isn't expected to reprise her role as Daphne Basset. Asked if there were any "exciting dynamics" coming up for her character, she told Screen Rant in January: "Sadly not in season 3. Potentially in the future. But season 3, I'm just excited to watch as a viewer."
Her on-screen husband Regé-Jean Page isn't expected to appear as Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings, in the third season either. Regé-Jean led the cast of the first season, alongside Phoebe, but he didn't return for season two.

Storylines

Netflix 'bans period drama staple' after Bridgerton star 'tore shoulder' on setA synopsis for author Julia's book teases: "After half a lifetime of watching [Colin] from afar, [Penelope] thinks she knows everything about him, until she stumbles across his deepest secret… and fears she doesn't know him at all."
Netflix has reminded that the second season saw Penelope "heartbroken" after she overheard Colin suggest that he wouldn't court her. The character also had a falling out with her best friend Eloise, which "won't help her mood either".
Nicola teased at the Tudum: A Global Fan Event earlier this year: "We open our season with the ton's return from the countryside… Both Colin and Pen have done some growing up. And only time will tell how their friendship will develop."
And she teased on the Six O'Clock Show recently: "This season is really funny, really romantic. They've incorporated a lot of rom-com elements and it's again not one to watch with the whole family. You can take from that what you will."
Fellow cast member Simone teased about her character in an interview with Elle: "I think you're going to see a much more softer side coming this season." The actor added: "[Kate is] going to be quite content with her husband."
Whilst Adjoa teased to Digital Spy there will be a "wider expanse of who the characters are". The actor suggested that will be the case for her own character Lady Danbury, adding: "A more complex leaning into what their history is."
