Lulu baffles Good Morning Britain fans as she adopts unusual new accent
Lulu has baffled fans as she adopted strange new accent during her appearance on Good Morning Britain.
The 75-year-old appeared on the show to talk about her upcoming tour but many viewers couldn't help but notice her accent. She spoke with Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley as fans noticed something different about her voice.
She said: "On this tour, everybody said, 'Why don't you have a party for 75 years...You're 75, Lu? And I said, 'I will chillax with my family, thank you' but the party will be on the tour. And then the whole of next year, I have been working on a book."
Richard then asked Lulu if she was writing an autobiography but she said she didn't know "what to call it". She added: "It is going to be full of the pictures we found when I moved house two years ago. That started the whole thing and my team were like, 'You didn't tell me you did that'.
"You said that they didn't put the Bond thing in, they didn't mention Eurovision, you know, I wrote songs for Tina Turner that she put into her autobiographical movie called I Don't Want to Fight."

While a second echoed: "Lulu can’t make her mind up on what accent she wants to have #gmb #GoodMorningBritain," as another asked: "Lulu… again. What accent will she have today?"
"Lulu and her fake accent! Then she switches to Scottish when there’s some reference to Scotland #gmb," a fourth added.
Lulu's appearance comes not long after Gogglebox left several viewers in disbelief as the stars seemed to be unfamiliar with the iconic singer.
The usual cast of were reacting to an episode of BBC's Blankety Blank and during the episode, host Bradley Walsh asked a contestant to name a famous Scottish person, and several members of the celebrity panel suggested singer Lulu. However, it was evident that some of the Gogglebox stars were left confused.
Amira and Amani were particularly confused, with one admitting she would need to "find out who this Lulu is". Meanwhile, Pete and his sister Sophie mistakenly thought Lulu was American. This surprising lack of recognition prompted many viewers to express their astonishment on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
Fans took to social media to talk about the situation, as one said: "I can't believe they don't know who Lulu is! I feel old even though I know who she is and I'm 27." another added: "How can they not have heard of Lulu..."
"Goodness me! No one knows who Lulu is!! Am I that old?!," another said, as a fourth commented: " All these people saying they don't know who Lulu is probably made her want to... talk in a loud voice at the TV."
