The Toffees are stuck in the relegation zone at the midway point of the season with new boss Dyche at the helm after sacking Frank Lampard. But Dyche's cause has not been helped by the lack of transfers during the January window - and he now faces the unenviable task of kicking off his tenure against the Premier League leaders.
It was at this same ground that Mikel Arteta watched over Arsenal after being appointed manager in December 2019. Since then the Spaniard has revitalised the Gunners into a well-oiled machine who are charging towards a first title under their manager - though nothing short of victory against Everton is what is expected.

The two sides will meet at Goodison Park on Saturday February 4 with kick-off scheduled for 12:30pm.

It will be the first time the teams have met this season, though the last fixture between the two bears a bad omen for Everton, who were thumped 5-1 on the final day of last season, albeit after avoiding relegation and securing Premier League football for another year.
The Toffees did win the last encounter at Goodison, however, courtesy of Demarai Gray's last-minute winner.

Arsenal will have the timely bonus of having new signing Jorginho available for selection after the Italian midfielder completed his deadline day switch from Chelsea.
That could prove useful with Thomas Partey battling to be fit. The Ghanaian is expected to undergo an assessment to determine whether he will be involved.
