Tiger Woods is set to make stage his PGA Tour comeback at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas following a seven-month rehabilitation period following surgery.

The golf icon has battled fitness issues in the past couple of years and finally went under the knife after struggling to fully recover after a car crash in 2021. Despite making the Masters in 2022, he appeared to be in some discomfort on the course as complications with his right ankle persisted.

To compound the 15-major championships winner's plight, he withdrew from the next edition of the Masters in April amid further fitness problems. However, he is now setting his sights on a major return to the sport at the Hero World Challenge on November 30.

The 47-year-old has undergone an extensive rehabilitation programme and is no longer thought to be in any pain following his surgery earlier this year. When he tees off at the PGA event at the Albany Golf Club, he will be hoping that this latest comeback will provide a springboard for him to play each month in 2024.

In a press conference before the Hero World Challenge, Woods admitted that he is feeling the effects of having been sidelined for seven months. However, his enthusiasm for golf remains undoubtedly undiminished and it appeared that the sporting icon was relishing his return.

Speaking to reporters, he explained: "The best scenario would be a tournament a month. I think that's realistic. My game feels rusty. I haven’t played in a while … I’m just as curious as all of you as to what’s going to happen.

"I don’t have any of the pain that I had at Augusta in my ankle … that surgery was a success. My knee hurts, my back, the forces move to somewhere else."

"The procedures I’ve had done post-last couple of years, I’ve had a number of them. At some point of time I would have had to had my ankle replaced or fused. That timeframe was sped up … The ankle just went, it was bone on bone."

Woods is set to tee off at 4:52pm on November 30, with his return likely to draw viewers in their droves on both sides of the Atlantic. Below, Mirror Sport has put together a guide including how to stream the event and a full list of tee times...
