Grace Dent's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! co-stars have shared their views after she departed the programme.

The food critic who in recent days has shied away from being her usual self is already on her way back to the United Kingdom having made a swift departure from the camp. Viewers of the ITV competition show have seen Grace become somewhat secluded and looked worlds away from how we are used to seeing her.

But her campmates have now responded to Grace's exit during the latest instalment of the series on Monday night. Hollyoaks actor Nick Pickard shared the news of Grace's departure with a laminated letter from their former co-star.

Reading it aloud, the letter read: "My Dear campmates, I'm so sorry to let you down. I have left the camp for medical reasons. My heart is broken, I have loved and enjoyed getting to know you all. You've held me up and it's been a pleasure being your friend through this experience. Leaving you all at this stage will be one of the saddest things in my life. I love you all. Your friend, Miss Grace Dent."

Responding to the sad news, jockey Frankie Dettori quipped: "Grace, we miss you!" While former EastEnders actress Danielle Harold shouted: "Love you, Grace!" "That's really sad," added Nick before JLS star Marvin Humes commented: "She hasn't let us down!"

A tearful Danielle went on to say: "Bless her, she did really well!" While First Dates star Fred Sirieix went on to say: "She didn't let us down!" Earlier today, ITV confirmed Grace's exit in a statement which read: "Unfortunately Grace Dent has left the show on medical grounds. She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike."

Prior to her exit, Grace along with Josie Gibson, Marvin Humes, Nick Pickard, Danielle Harold, Tony Bellew and Nigel Farage moved to the 'Snake Rock' camp which is extremely different to the regular camp. Celebs at Snake Rock were forced to sleep on the floor and were given basic food rations. But Grace who has previously shared her dislike for I'm A Celeb snubbed the programme for one final time and refused to discuss her experience when approached by the Mirror at Brisbane Airport.

The 50-year-old was even granted use of the VIP entrance at the airport, which is rarely used by I'm A Celeb stars. A show insider told the Mirror: "She is feeling like s**t and just wants to get on the plane and sleep." Her exit comes after fans expressed concern for her frail and withdrawn appearance during Sunday night's show.

Fans watching at home took to social media to express their fear for her. One wrote via X, formerly known as Twitter: "I'm getting worried for Grace." Another penned: "A bit worried about Grace Dent," while a third predicted: "Honestly think Grace might leave sometime next week."
