Foden's son, 4, signs modelling contract after amassing four million followers

Phil Foden's four-year-old son has signed a modelling contract, having amassed nearly four million social media followers.

Ronnie Foden became a fan favourite after joining in the celebrations following Manchester City's win in the Champions League final in June. That secured Pep Guardiola's side a famous treble, with Ronnie taking centre stage in the subsequent party.

That led to him going viral among City fans, who dubbed him 'The Dude' and 'El Way'. He is now seen as an unofficial mascot for the Premier League giants, as well as racking up 3.8million followers on Instagram alone, with his account managed by his parents.

Ronnie has now also signed a contract with Propel Talent Group to further his work as a model, according to The Sun. The company claims to manage "the careers of some of the UK's most sought-after talent".

One of his first jobs was to pose in a hoodie and tracksuit bottoms from designer outlet Flannels, as part of their Represent range. Ronnie posed sitting down, wearing sunglasses and with his back to the camera.

Foden and his partner Rebecca Cooke launched his Instagram profile off the back of his rise to prominence in June. The account hit the one million followers mark within 14 hours of its creation.

Celebrities with more than a million followers on the social media site can earn up to £10,000 for each brand plug. Ronnie became a sensation during the celebrations of the Treble win.

He was seen singing with Rico Lewis on the team bus, danced in the dressing room with the squad and soaked up the atmosphere while sitting on his dad's shoulders. The stunning rise in his son's popularity has even surprised his dad.

"His personality has made him who he is. I think he went quite viral after [we] won the Champions League. He just reminds me of myself when I was a kid and he's very funny," Foden told Sky Sports in September.

"I couldn't believe it. Every comment on my social media page was asking to see him. So I thought I'd give the fans what they wanted and create an account for him and it just blew up."

If he was in attendance at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, Ronnie would have seen his dad play all 90 minutes of City's draw with Liverpool. Erling Haaland opened the scoring for the hosts, but they were pegged back late on by a strike from Trent Alexander-Arnold.
