Princess Andre's way of dealing with online trolls after watching mum suffer

Princess Andre has revealed how she learned the hard way to deal with cruel online trolls as a child.

The daughter of Katie Price, 45, and Peter Andre, 50, at just 16-years-old, Princess is one of the most recognisable teenagers in the public eye across the UK. Over the past year, Princess has gone from a student to a social media superstar, bagging brand and fashion deals from the likes of Primark to PrettyLittleThing - but sadly, with more notoriety comes more backlash.

Despite the fact that she's only 16, Princess has seen how criticism from the public has impacted both her parents, who first met in the I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! jungle in 2004. Given that the teen has grown up in the public eye, in recent years, she has also been subjected to negative criticism and online hate.

Most recently, Princess revealed that due to her mass Instagram following, after she garnered over a million fans on the social media app, the negative comments and mockery have also doubled. However, Princess has been able to manage it and not let it affect her day-to-day life - and it's all down to seeing how her famous mum deals with the same thing.

Opening up about her mature and learned approach to dealing with hate comments, Princess explained: "When I came across my first hate comment, I didn’t really know how to react. I wasn’t necessarily upset with it because growing up with known parents it was a normal thing for it to happen to them, so I saw loads of comments and how my parents both reacted.

"They said the best way to deal with it is to ignore it. I decided to delete the comment and forget about it and over time I became less bothered," she added during her recent interview with OK! Magazine. “I’m just like, ‘OK, goodbye,’ and delete the comments."

Princess also revealed that as she's grown older, she values her privacy more and doesn't want to share every aspect of her life with the public amid fears they will pick her life choices apart. “When something exciting happens, it’s great to let people know. I get lots of support and it makes me feel so grateful to know the public care. But if I want to keep something private, I will. I think it’s very, very important to keep some things in my life private. It’s good mentally not to have everyone know your business," the teen shared.

Princess added that when she was younger, she didn't understand the idea of keeping things to yourself, but now that she's older her preference is to be more private.

It comes as Princess has kept her eight-month relationship with her first boyfriend under wraps, only sharing glimpses of him here and there as she wants to keep her love life as private as possible.

Princess and her boyfriend went public with their relationship in June, however protective dad, Pete, 50, admitted he was "struggling" with the announcement. He told Woman magazine: “I’m not happy about this at all. I’m struggling beyond belief, but that’s life. We’ve had many chats. I have very strict rules in my house. “I had this rule that would never have a boyfriend until she was 38, and now she’s 16 and she’s talking about boys."
