I'm A Celeb fans 'worry' for Grace Dent as star tipped to quit after trial news

I’m A Celebrity viewers think Grace Dent could quit the show within hours of her learning the latest trial news on the ITV show.

The TV star and restaurant critic sparked concern with viewers once again on Sunday evening, as they saw her reaction to Ant and Dec's bombshell. They revealed to the campmates that after the latest public vote, Grace and This Morning star Josie Gibson would be doing the next Bushtucker Trial.

As the news came in, Grace's expression didn't really change while Josie screamed out. Grace appeared upset or annoyed to be taking on the task, while she didn't say anything and immediately some of her co-stars got up to comfort her.

Viewers watching at home said they were "worried" for the star, saying she seemed "zoned out" with Grace recently admitting she wanted to go home. Taking to X formerly Twitter, one viewer said: "I’m getting worried for Grace."

Another said: "A bit worried about Grace Dent," as a third predicted: "Honestly think Grace might leave some time next week." Another comment read: "I can see grace leaving the camp soon, she looked so depressed and zoned out," while a fifth fan said: "Reckon Grace is going to bail....."

Just days ago Grace hinted she may leave the jungle, as she told co-stars she wanted to go home. Grace had indicated to Josie that she was struggling to cope on the show. She told Josie: “I’ve had enough. I’ve completely had enough. I just want to go home.”

It comes amid reports that the show's ratings have continued to fall since the launch last week, after the opening night’s ratings decreased by millions compared to the 2022 series. It was revealed that this was partly due to an audience boycott due to Nigel Farage’s inclusion in the series.

And now, it appears that viewing figures have plummeted once again as a further 1.3 million people have turned off the series, in comparison to Monday’s episode. The show launch was already down by 2.2 million viewers compared to the previous year, while viewing figures have continued to drop this week.

This Saturday’s episode - which was aired at the later time of 9.30pm after losing its usual slot - was viewed by 5.5 million people. On average, 4.8 million viewers tuned into the celebrity competition series, which was over 1 million less than Monday night’s score of 6.1 million.

Last week saw former UKIP party leader Farage being faced with an eating trial, in which he was forced to gorge on a four-penis pizza, camel udders and a cow teat in order to win stars - which mean meals - for his campmates. The politician has been reported to earn an unfathomable £1.5million to appear on the series, which would be the biggest celebrity payout.

Despite the backlash from his appearance on the series, it has also emerged that the Brexit campaigner could be set to release a pin-up calendar.
