I'm A Celeb's Marvin knew Rochelle 'was the one' as he details lavish proposal

Singer and TV host Marvin Humes has told on I’m A Celebrity how he started his family with a special night shortly after his wedding to Rochelle.

Chatting in camp with Nella Rose and Josie Gibson, Marvin explained how he proposed to his wife, This Morning star and The Saturdays singer Rochelle Humes. Speaking about their dream wedding and Rochelle falling pregnant with their first child, Marvin detailed his lavish proposal.

Marvin, 38, said: "When I was ready to settle down, and I knew Rochelle was the one, I took her to the Maldives for Christmas. On the day, I hired a tiny little island, small, from here to the treehouse, maybe twice the size… they dropped us off maybe 11am and I stood next to her, saying, ‘Let’s do a picture’. Then I went down on one knee."

Marvin now has daughters Alaia-Mai, 10, and Valentina, six, and three-year-old son Blake with Rochelle. Continuing his story in camp, he said: “We got back home, immediately started planning the wedding.

"We got married, we had five days together, then she went to America for six weeks to shoot a TV show in LA. Then I met her in New York, we had one night together in New York, she went back to LA, I went back to London, six weeks later she was pregnant, from that one night in New York.”

Marvin's stunned campmate Nella joked: “Don’t play with big Marv. He said, ‘I’ve got one night, one night only, I’m going to make it happen tonight.’” Before going into camp, Marvin told how his family hid a note in his luggage for when he came out to Australia.

He said: "When I left Rochelle and the kids wrote a note and stuck it in my suitcase which I found yesterday. It said how much they loved me and told me how proud of me they are.

"My 10 year old said 'Daddy, I'm so proud of you conquering your fears, just don’t say no to anything and do your best.' That’s from my 10 year old. You know, so, so sweet that she’s telling me to conquer my fears and get stuck in. I just want to make them proud."
