It has been revealed that King Charles insists on a very particular and bizarre morning routine, including a very odd shoelace request.

According to Princess Diana's former royal butler Paul Burrell, the King has "everything done for him".

The King has 28 members of personal household staff - including four chefs, five house managers, three valets and dressers, and a couple of butlers - who will work to keep him happy.

Speaking on a documentary, titled Serving the Royals: Inside the Firm, which aired on Amazon Prime, Mr Burrell claims that the royal has requested that his "shoelaces are pressed flat with an iron" by his staff members.

Chef Graham Newbould, a former member of the royal staff, previously reported that "Prince Charles has a healthier option. He'd have homemade bread, a bowl of fresh fruit, fresh fruit juices", and has his breakfast wherever he goes.

He added: "He has six different types of honey, some special mueslis, his dried fruit, and anything that’s a bit special that he is a bit fussy about."

According to the Amazon Prime documentary, the monarch previously earned himself the title of 'Pampered Prince' among staff at his residence of Clarence House.

He's also known to have strict travel demands too, as it was previously reported that he takes his own toilet seat and loo roll on trips.
