Meghan Markle is vocal about her favourite wine. After all, she named her own blog after it.

Tignanello, the Italian Super Tuscan red wine, inspired 'The Tig,' the food and lifestyle blog Meghan ran before becoming royalty. A bottle of the luxe label costs about £158.

Meghan wrote on her blog: “Tignanello is a full-bodied red wine that I tried about seven years ago. In wine circles, it is nicknamed ‘Tig.’ It was my first moment of getting it—I finally understood what people meant by the body, structure, finish, legs of wine. The Tig is my nickname for me getting it. Not just wine, but everything.”

While expensive, it isn't necessarily the rarest bottle to come by. It's available online via a variety of different providers, as well as in person at liquor stores across globally. If, like Meghan, someone develops a strong taste for it, distributors also sell wine by the case.

The wine is special because it was the first of its kind. Tignanello is the first fancy wine to use Tuscany's Sangiovese grape with 'regal Cabernet Sauvignon.' Sommelier Mark Sayre told PureWow: “The two grapes work so well together because you have the rusticity of Sangiovese wrapped in Cabernet’s velvety dark fruit—both providing their own sense of power.”

Marchese Piero Antinori created this Super Tuscan wine trend in the early 1970s when he created Tignanello. Although this particular bottle is truly unique, there are definitely options for those who don't want to make a large purchase. Sayre reccomended Ornellaia's Le Volte dell’Ornellaia which has a nice red range for less than £23.

Earlier this year, rumours spiraled that Meghan's The Tig may just make a return. According to the New York Post, a document filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office explained the site could feature “food, cooking, recipes, travel, relationships, fashion, style, interior design, lifestyle, the arts, culture, design, conscious living, health and wellness.”

The Mirror revealed that the cite may also feature “commentary in the field of personal relationships". However, the timeline for the mysterious relaunch is still not set as Meghan and Harry continue to rethink their media strategy for Archewell Productions.
