King Charles was said to be far from happy with his youngest son Prince Harry after his explosive Netflix documentary tore into the Royal Family.

Charles and Harry's relationship has been strained since Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to leave their senior royal duties and move stateside - during which time they've also thrown a number of volatile accusations in the family's direction. And now, a new book regarding the family is set to reveal Charles' reaction to Harry's choice to bare all in public.

As well as a tell-all conversation with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, Harry has shared intimate stories in his memoir titled Spare, as well as opened up about issues in his Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan. The upcoming book by Omid Scobie, who was said to have previously been close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, is now ready to reveal more private matters from within the family.

According to The Sun, the author writes in his new book titled Endgame: "At the Palace, heads were in hands and migraines were brewing. The publication went on to claim the book described how the show took the wind out of everyone’s sails, according to an aide. "(He) went from not wanting anyone to talk about his son to openly criticising ‘that fool.’ "

The footage, which was released last December, was made up of six episodes. At the time it was thought to have made for uncomfortable viewing for Charles, William, Kate and the rest of the royal family - and the new book is set to reveal this is the case.

In it, Harry claimed the royals asked why Meghan should be "protected" from media speculation, alleging he was told it was something all royal women - including Princess Diana and Kate - have to go through. He also criticised the family's "Never Complain, Never Explain" motto, while also taking a swipe at his dad, claiming he has friends in Botswana who "literally brought me up".

Elsewhere, he said there is a temptation in the royal family to marry someone who "fits the mould". Speaking in the first episode of the successful documentary, he revealed: "I think for so many people in the family, especially obviously the men, there can be a temptation or an urge to marry someone who would fit the mould as opposed to somebody who you perhaps are destined to be with.

"The difference between making decisions with your head, or your heart. And my mum certainly made most of her decisions - if not all of them from her heart. And I am my mother's son."
