Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly stuns with 'best frock of the season'

Tess Daly stunned viewers with her gorgeous outfit on Strictly Come Dancing.

The presenter, 54, returned to the dancefloor on Saturday night to host another round of dances, glamour and sequins. The remaining celebrities have given everything they've got as they battled it out to stay in the BBC dance competition. Tess looked stunning as she wore shimmering gold floor-length gown and brought glamour to the dancefloor.

She kept her blonde locks in loose waves hair and complimented her look with flawless make-up. Co-star Claudia Winkleman, also looked sensational as she wore bold red floor-length dress. Fans took to X - formerly known as Twitter - where they went wild over their outfits. One gushed: "#Strictly Tess' best frock of the season." Another added: "#strictly tess thats such a very lovely dress that you have on today."

Someone else wrote: "Oooh love Tess dress tonight #Strictly." A fourth wrote: "Gorgeous dresses for Claudia and Tess. But wow Tess A copper mermaid." During the show, EastEnders star Bobby Brazier and dance partner Dianne Buswell performed his Couples' Choice to This Woman's Work by Maxwell. They paid an emotional tribute to the young actor's late mum Jade Goody, which left Dianne in tears during rehearsals.

The 20-year-old was just five when his Big Brother star mum passed away of cervical cancer on Mother's Day in March 2009. Bobby was raised by his dad Jeff Brazier, who has had quite the TV career himself. Bobby said: "I've always thought it's the perfect song, the way he sings it the lyrics are profound and very impactful for me.

"There's lyrics in particular - 'I should be crying but I just can't let it show' - and when I was a little bit younger and I was angry and resentful and I feared the world and just couldn't cry or express myself it was those lyrics, hearing that, that would make me cry because it felt so true. It's a big week, it's our couples' choice. There's going to be a flood [of tears]."

The emotional dance also comes after it was revealed that Dianne's dad has cancer and has recently started chemotherapy. Dianne hasn't said what type of cancer he has but shared a photo of him on his first day of chemotherapy.

Elsewhere on the programme, Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola danced an Argentine Tango to Destiny's Child's 'Bills, Bills, Bills', Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin performed the American Smooth to 'It's Oh So Quiet' by Björk, Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe did the Paso Doble to 'España Cañi' while Nigel Harman and Katya Jones performed the Rumba to Celine Dion's 'It's All Coming Back to Me Now'. Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu did the Cha-cha-cha to Gloria Gaynor's 'I Will Survive'.

Last weekend, the BBC show’s oldest ever contestant Angela Rippon got the boot in Blackpool along with pro dancer Kai Widdrington. The pair found themselves in the bottom two again against Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell, but it was third time unlucky and they were finally voted out in the dance-off.

Prior to Blackpool week, the BBC show was hit with ‘fix’ claims as fans suggested Angela was only being kept in the competition so she could relive the full-circle moment as she used to present the original Come Dancing in the Eighties. Judge Anton Du Beke hit back at the claims – denying there was a ‘fix’ and revealed why. In an interview with Times Radio’s Jane Garvey, he said: “Are you mad? If she [Angela] was terrible in week one, she’d have been the first to go. It doesn’t really work that way.”

Pressed further, Anton said he did believe Angela deserved to get to Blackpool week. Backing his decision, he explained: “We had the opportunity as judges to eliminate and we chose not to because she was worthy of a place in the dance-off to stay in the competition.

“The suggestion is that we care more about who stays and who goes out than we do, but we don’t care. Makes no difference to us. What does it make to me? The producers don’t speak to me. They don’t come to me and go, ‘Listen, we wouldn’t mind if you kept such and such in.’”
