Netflix viewers blast 'worst Christmas film ever' despite star-studded cast
‘Tis the season for wrapping up under a cosy blanket with hot chocolate, before watching a Christmas classic. But there’s one festive movie you might want to avoid, as home-audience viewers are warning others to skip Netflix’s latest Christmas film.
The 2023 movie, Best. Christmas. Ever!, features an all-star cast and sees mum-of-two Charlotte (Heather Graham, known for Austin Powers: The Spy Who Sh*gged Me) turning up at her former best friend Jackie’s (Brandy Norwood, known for Moesha) house to see whether her boastful festive newsletters are true, or not.
Charlotte then decides to spend her own holidays with Jackie’s family, as well as her husband Rob (Jason Biggs, from the American Pie franchise), and her kids Dora (Abby Villasmil) and Grant (Wyatt Hunt), and discovers that her old pal’s life is seemingly perfect.
It’s no secret that Charlotte is jealous of Jackie’s success, with her 10-year-old child genius who attends Harvard, and her son who is supporting a humanitarian mission abroad. Not to mention, her gorgeous husband Valentino (Matt Cedeño, known for Power). So, Charlotte decides to snoop around behind her back, and see for herself whether her life is real or fabricated.

Despite the celebrity cast in the movie - which was recently launched on the streaming site - the movie has only managed to score a measly 33 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes. Viewers have taken to the site to pen their thoughts on the “cringe”-worthy film, with one person writing on the review site that the movie lacks “flow”.
“Cringe af,” they began. “I was expecting a heart warming movie with a good Christmas themed storyline, but the whole thing was garbage because there's no flow to the story. I feel like it got butchered from the bad acting.”
Meanwhile, another person wrote: “Horrible movie! Would not recommend. Thought it was going to be a nice family Christmas movie...not at all,” while a third added: “Best. Christmas. Ever! was definitely not the best. movie. ever!”
