Ulrika Jonsson feels ‘sexier than ever’ at 56 and makes younger men claim

Ulrika Jonsson has tapped into her new-found confidence, saying that she feels “sexier than ever” at age 56.

The former Gladiators presenter has opened up in a new op-ed about growing older in the media industry, explaining that her self-esteem has actually gotten better as the years have gone on.

Explaining that women have historically been seen as “less attractive” and “less desirable”, the presenter wrote in that she’s throwing those outdated ideologies out the window, and embracing her “sexiness”.

She went on to highlight how her confidence doesn’t come from external factors like a little black dress, lingerie, makeup or even a new hairstyle, adding that “it comes from deep within”. She wrote: "It comes from understanding that I no longer have time for BS in my life. If it comes near me, I dismiss it because, quite frankly, this time is about me."

And by prioritising herself, it has also meant that she has taken the reins when it comes to who she chooses to date, as well as her sex life. Writing that “50 is the new 20”, she explained: “Dating is much more exciting than anything I experienced in my 20s or 30s and, at the risk of boring you, as if you didn’t know, the sex life is considerably spicier.”

Previously, the media personality opened up about dating younger people, adding that she isn’t “ageist”. In an interview with magazine, she said: “I've been dating [for] the last year and a half, on and off... In terms of younger men, it's not so much about preferring sex with them, but I have been dating younger.”

She continued: "I'm not ageist by any means. I'm an equal opportunities dater, so by all means, apply! I'm 55 now, but I feel rejuvenated and energetic!” Speaking on her libido, she said: “I genuinely still feel as naughty, silly and ridiculous as I ever did. I'm having HRT for the menopause, but it hasn't impacted my sex life at all.

“I'm still very keen. I would love to have somebody in my life, but possibly not in a conventional way.”
