The much-anticipated reunion tour will be dedicated to bandmate, Sarah who died of breast cancer aged 39 in 2021.

They have since shared more details about The Girls Aloud Show tour and how it feels embarking as a group of four. Speaking on Heart Breakfast to Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston, Cheryl said: "Yes it’s very strange, we’ve done a few things now in the lead-up to this, and it’s all felt bizarre. Even this morning getting dressed.

"Sarah was always the one who would be 10/15 minutes late anyway, we’d all be waiting, and we all still feel like we’re waiting for someone else. It’s very strange the whole thing is very strange, to be honest." Kimberley added: "I do think of her energy, there’s something definitely missing."

She continued: "We always talk about how much she loved Girls Aloud. She loved it. It was just the best time ever for her, we spoke so much about it the few months before she passed away and how much she loved it, she made us watch old videos, the things we’d done together, she always said we had an amazing time together. Amanda, you’re absolutely right, she would love that we were doing this."

When asked if they will be including Sarah on the tour, Nadine said: "Absolutely, she’s such a huge part of the music, such a huge part of the group, the visuals, everything that makes Girls Aloud what it is, this is so different as a four, such a different experience, as much as we can bring in Sarah and bring her energy and everything she brought."

Jamie asked if they were planning to do Sarah's vocals, Nadine added: "They will remain the same, her vocal parts are big parts like Walking Primrose, she is the actual walking primrose and take a walk on the wild side, she’s got some iconic Sarah’s bits. They will be Sarah’s bits. Why would we? They are her bits."

Cheryl said: "I did speak to Sarah one-on-one at one point, this was in the later stages when she was really poorly though, and she’d said to me 'I hope you four do something when I’m not here' and in that moment I couldn’t entertain that conversation. I was trying to keep her up."

Girls Aloud's last tour, Ten: The Hits Tour took place in 2013 in celebration of their tenth anniversary. The shows received widespread praise, with critics hailing the band for their impressive performances after four years apart.

Fans were left heartbroken when Sarah made an unexpected return to social media after two years. Sharing a snap of herself taken in hospital, Sarah announced that earlier in 2020 she had been diagnosed with breast cancer while going on to share the devastating news it had advanced to other parts of her body.

Heartbreakingly, just 53 weeks after Sharing her diagnosis, and two months before her 40th birthday, the singer died aged 39, surrounded by her family at home in Manchester. Her mum, Marie, took to social media to share that Sarah had "slipped away peacefully" on September 5, 2021. Since her death, Sarah's former bandmates have raised over £1million in aid of The Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal, in partnership with The Christie Charity.
