Strictly Come Dancing professional Carols Gu has begged the show judges to beef up their scores when judging him and celebrity dance partner Angela Scanlon after they were snubbed of top marks last weekend.

The 30-year-old dance professional and 39-year-old Angela travelled to Blackpool on Saturday alongside all the other celebs, pros, judges hosts, presenters and crew of the long-running BBC dance competition. All the sequin-soaked action was broadcast live from the famous Blackpool Tower ballroom where the celebs and their dance partners wowed and amazed the live studio audience - and viewers tuning in from home.

And while Carlos and Angela performed an Argentine Tango to Back To Black by Amy Winehouse to the gasps of those watching, they were denied top marks by one of the judges. Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke awarded the pair 38 points out of a possible 40. - as 58-year-old Craig raised his eight paddle to give them a lower score than the other three judges who all dished out 10s.

Now Carlos has taken aim at the feisty judge and urged him to be more considerate with his scoring. The Chinese dance expert appeared on the companion show Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two alongside Angela on Thursday night where he made his plea.

Host Janette Manrara asked: "Carlos, let's talk about this. You got perfect scores from Anton, Motsi and Shirley but Craig did. Of course, he mentioned something, stiff legs." Turning to the camera, Carols appealed to the judge directly, saying: "Craig, you know I love you but for once in your life can you not keep up with your judges please."

On Saturday night, Carlos and Angela received warm feedback from the judges - except from Craig. Professional dancer turned judge Anton told the duo: "You came into the lift and they looked beautiful." But in contrast, Craig grumbled: "I have to disagree with Anton about the leg situation. I thought you were a bit stiff. They are not loose enough and I feel like you are trying to control them."

There could be more bad news for Carlos and Angela this weekend, however, as the bookies have given them top odds - for being voted off the show. Betting experts at BetVictor have predicted Angela and Carlos or fellow performers Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe will see their Strictly run end this weekend - with both getting odds of being voted off at 7/4. Bobby Brazier and his dance partner Dianne Buswell, who were in the bottom two last weekend, are also at risk with bad odds of 10/3 of being eliminated next.

While Nigel Harman and his dance partner Katya Jones are given elimination odds of 8/1, Layton Williams and his dance partner Nikita Kuzmin have elimination adds valued at 10/1, and Ellie Leach and her dance partner Vito Coppola have received elimination odds stacked at 100/1.
