Sharon Osbourne has openly spent a fortune on plastic surgery since first going under the knife back in 1978.

The 71-year-old star has spent 45 years tweaking and transforming her look, spending hundreds of thousands of pounds in the process. "‘If you're not happy with the way you look and you have the money, change it!" she once said. "What's the big deal?"

Award-winning aesthetics and skincare specialist Amish Patel, founder of the Intrigue Cosmetic Clinic, believes the star may have had dermal fillers, injections used to plump and smooth skin, on her face to compliment her five facelifts.

"I think Sharon is looking fantastic for her age and an excellent testament to her surgeon’s work," he said. "We know she has had a number of facelifts over the years and you can see that from the very lifted appearance.

"As we naturally age we lose volume from our cheeks but we can see from Sharon's latest pictures that she has very contoured cheeks, a relatively full chin and a decent jawline, which suggests dermal fillers to these areas as well. I think she’s definitely had some cheek filler, some chin and jawline filler, possibly some further dermal in the nose to mouth lines and marionette lines."

Amish said Sharon was looking "very rejuvenated and smooth" under her eyes, suggesting "there could be a touch of teardrop filler" in addition to "possibly some Botox in the forehead and around the eyes." He added: "Sharon has very good, looking skin which could be down to chemical face peels and a good skin care routine."

When it comes to her body, Sharon's first procedure back in 1978 was breast implants. Following gastric band surgery in 1999, she underwent £100,000 worth of work. "I had flesh hanging everywhere," she said. "So much needed doing it couldn't have been done in one operation. I had liposuction on my neck, I had my breasts lifted, my arms lipo-ed and my tummy tucked. I had my bum lifted and I had my legs lifted."

The star's operations haven't always been for cosmetic reasons - she underwent a double mastectomy in 2012 after battling colon cancer. "I've had cancer before and I didn't want to live under that cloud," she said. "The odds are not in my favour."

Sharon vowed to have no more surgery for aesthetic reasons following a "horrendous" facelift in October 2021 left her looking like "Cyclops". She had one further facelift - her fifth - to correct the work but it looks like any "tweakments" the star has in the future will be non-invasive.

“I think giving up surgery is a very personal decision," said Amish. "Factors such as age will certainly come into risk factors of surgery in the long run as well but I’m sure she’ll look to possibly upkeep the non-invasive surgery to maintain her rejuvenated looks, such as Botox and fillers.”

The TV star, who grew famous on MTV reality show The Osbournes, recently slimmed down using weight loss jab Ozempic but has since gave up the drug, saying it made her too thin.

* Sharon will appear on BBC's The One Show tonight at 7pm, discussing married life with husband Ozzy and their new BBC reality TV show Home To Roost
