Farage left flapping as Nella Rose lashes out at his 'anti-immigration' views
Nella Rose attacked Nigel Farage for his anti-immigration election tactics in a new jungle row, telling him: “I came in...you want us gone, that’s all I understood.”
The 26-year-old YouTube star admitted she did not know much about Farage, 59, before looking him up on the internet before coming onto I'm A Celebrity. But she left Farage briefly squirming and trying to justify his position, which is seen by most people as largely anti-immigration.
Down by the bath, Nella spoke to Farage, during which she said: “Let’s get everything out in the open. All the tea is coming out now… apparently you’re anti-immigrants?” Nigel replied: “Who told you that?” Nella said: “The internet.” Nigel added: “Oh, well there we are then it must be true.”
But the YouTuber was not prepared to let the subject go away that easily. Nella asked: “It must be! OK, but then why don’t black people like you?” Nigel replied: “You’d be amazed, they do. If you came with me through South London, you’d be astonished.”
Nella reacted: “Nigel! Nigel! So everyone hates you for no reason? Not that everyone hates you, that was so bad. Sorry.”
Sue Cleaver feels 'more empowered' as she labels her 50s her 'happiest decade'Nigel then insisted he was misunderstood. He added: “You can disagree with somebody, but to chuck around accusations the way they’ve been chucked around is grossly unfair. Anti-immigrant, right? No, no, all I’ve said is we cannot go on with the numbers coming to Britain that are coming.”

But Nella did not like what she had then heard and she said: “I’m one of the numbers?” Nigel replied: “So that’s it then, should it be 5 million a year, 10 million… you don’t seem to understand.”
Nella said: “Those immigrants that are coming in, I came in.” Nigel insisted: “Hang on! Think!” Nella asked: “What is so wrong about immigrants?”
Nigel said: “Listen. Since 2000, the British population has increased by 10 million. 10 million.” Nella said: “Good thing, right?” Nigel replied: “Good thing, unless you want a GP appointment…”
Nella added: “I’m stopping you getting a GP appointment? You’re not getting an appointment because the NHS is lacking funding. I bet you anything if every single immigrant or from immigrant descent was to leave the UK, all your doctors, go… most of your doctors are Asian right? Most of your nurses are African women, right? You want us gone, that’s all I understood.”
Attempting to calm things, Nigel said: “Stop it. Stop, it that’s not… Nella, you’re not listening to a single word I’m saying. You’re not.”
Nella said: “It’s ok for us to disagree on this.” Nigel added: “We can agree to disagree if you listen.” Nella said: “I am listening to you.” Nigel responded: “No you’re not.”
Nella said to Nigel: “My main point was that we’ve got into this jungle and I really like you and I want to know why everyone hated you. We don’t have to come to a common ground. You probably like a lot of things that I don’t like. And I probably like a lot of things that you don’t like…we can have these conversations.”
In the Bush Telegraph afterwards, Nigel who is used to being divisive seemed unphased by what had happened. He said: “What was interesting was at the end of it she said, ‘Well, OK, we’re going to agree to disagree.’ And that’s the important thing, agreeing to disagree. ”
Richard 'shuts up' GMB guest who says Hancock 'deserved' being called 'd***head'Earlier in the day Sam had also quizzed Farage in camp asking: “Who is your favourite Prime Minister ever in your lifetime?” Farage said: “Really, in my lifetime, two Prime Ministers who’ve been really strong, who’ve changed the country: one’s Thatcher and one’s Blair.
"I didn’t like the way Blair changed the country at all but I have to admit he was a strong leader. Margaret was a very strong leader. They were tough times, but she changed the country completely.” Danielle then asked Farage: “Would you ever want to run?”
He replied: “I don’t know. We’ll see. Depends how much of a mess the country gets in. I honestly don’t know. It’s not an easy job.”
Official data published in May by the Office for National Statistics showed net migration of 606,000 for last year, nearly three times the pre-Brexit average of between 200,000 and 250,000.
Farage insisted in May if he was "in charge" after Brexit he would have got this figure down to 50,000, although the government said these figures included 114,000 Ukrainians coming over for example and 52,000 British nationals from Hong Kong. This is the second clash Farage has had in camp over immigration. At the start of the series, Fred Sirieix attacked Nigel Farage over his Brexit campaign and branded it "shameful"
