Friends of Brad Pitt say he was 'devastated' after brutal snub from adoptive son Pax on Father's Day

Brad Pitt was reportedly "devastated" after his adoptive son Pax shared a blistering social media post aimed at the actor, calling him a "f***ing awful father" and "world class a**hole."

As the Father's Day post from 2020 resurfaces, friends of Brad have spoken out about his reaction to the rant claiming the star was heartbroken over his strained relationship with his three adopted children. Friends of the actor blame his ex-wife Angelina Jolie for the estrangement claiming that it was caused from her "textbook parental alienation."

Friends of the former Hollywood power couple did not deny that Pax shared the post but pointed out that it was shared three years ago and may not reflect their current relationship. One friend said: "The publication of the Instagram is sad and frustrating because it does not make things any better."

Speaking to the Daily Mail, they continued: "Even when what is said is bad for him, Brad would only ever respect the kids voices. He will never ever speak negatively about any of them and will almost never talk about them in public."

The source claimed that among their friend group they believe Angelina shows the "textbook demonstration of parental alienation." And that Brad has remained silent among the Brangelina family feud because he "doesn't want to get drawn into battle" with the actress. This comes as the pair underwent a messy custody battle resulting in Angelina having custody over her six children with Brad only receiving visitation rights over his minor children.

The source told the news outlet she has said "the same poisonous things about him" and that she has "alienated the kids". They told the publication that it is "upsetting" to Brad and added: "He cares about all of them. It is devastating."

In the Instagram post in question Brad's son Pax shared a snap of his famous father receiving an Oscar for his performance in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood with the caption: "Happy Father's Day to this world class a*****e!! You time and time and again prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person," and continued: "You have no consideration or empathy toward your four youngest children who tremble in fear when in your presence. You will never understand the damage you have done to my family because you are incapable of doing so."

Pax finished the scathing message writing: "You have made the lives of those closest to me a constant hell. You may tell yourself and the world whatever you want, but the truth will come to light someday. So, Happy Father's Day, you f*****g awful human being!!!"

After the hurtful message was posted for the world to see, Brad remained silent but was secretly devastated over how his teenage son felt about him. A friend close to Angelina claimed that Brad is not able to play the victim as he has "nobody to blame but himself." They added that Angelina is only interested in healing their family and moving on but Brad "won't let her go."

Angelina and Brad shared a 12-year-long relationship before their bitter public divorce in 2016 that was prompted by a violent incident aboard a private plane flight with the former couple and their six children. During the flight, Angelina claimed Brad was intoxicated and out-of-control during the plane ride and allegedly choked one of their children and hit another across the face.
