The latest round of MW3 patch notes have arrived, and it includes a new nerf to the Striker 9 which seems fairly extreme.

Modern Warfare 3 has only been out for a couple of weeks, but that hasn't stopped Sledgehammer Games and Activision from updating the game regularly ahead of MW3 season 1, with the fourth patch for the game dropping earlier this week. Sledgehammer posted the patch notes alongside the patch rolling out on PC, PlayStation and Xbox, and it details a number of bug fixes and general changes. However, there was one weapon nerf that caught the community's eye.

The patch notes were posted on the r/ModernWarfare3 subreddit on Reddit, and immediately players were stunned at just how extreme a nerf the Striker 9 got, with multiple comments taking issue with it. One of the top comments on the thread says "Striker 9 is actually going to be awful now. Not only does it fire and handle slower than the Rival 9 and have more recoil, but now it’s a 6-shot kill minimum even though the Rival is a 5-shot" and goes on to add that the nerf "makes zero sense" and even ponders if it was a mistake. Going further into the thread you'll notice almost every top comment is focused on how strange this nerf is.

Another big change is that the weapon camo exploit that allowed players to equip camos that they hadn't yet unlocked. Which obviously was unintentional, but obviously still disappointing for some players.
