ITV viewers are convinced Sam Thompson actually knows his campmate doesn't get on with her famous sister

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! viewers think they've spotted a giveaway clue that reveals Sam Thompson is deliberately winding up one of his famous campmates.

Fans of the ITV series have taken to social media to share their theory the former Made In Chelsea star is a huge fan of Britney Spears and is trying to provoke the superstar singer's little sister Jamie Lynn Spears, who is currently camping under the stars in Australia with Sam.

During Tuesday night's edition of I'm A Celebrity, Sam and Jamie Lynn enjoyed an emotional chat as the Zoey 101 actress admitting she was struggling with being so far away from her young children. Sam tried to relate to his co-star, confessing he was missing his cats while in the jungle.

Sam also managed to delight viewers as he told Jamie Lynn "It's Britney, b**ch" and shared his excitement at possibly having dinner with his campmate and her famous sister one day in the future. Viewers were quick to ponder if Sam is actually aware of the fact Jamie Lynn and Britney have quite a strained sibling relationship.

Posting on Twitter/X on Tuesday, one stunned viewer joked: "Sam is either completely unaware of the Jamie Lynn & Britney beef or an absolute troll because what do you mean I’m coming round for dinner & ive got to speak to Britney. YOURE NOT GOING TO SEE BRITNEY IM SURE SHES GOT A RESTRAINING ORDER ON JAMIELYN. He’s so funny #ImACeleb."

"Sam, how chronically offline do you have to be to think you can 'call over to Jamie Lynn’s to hang out with Britney' #ImACeleb," another question, as third joked: "Jamie lynn spears and Sam talking about Britney missing out on her award and Sam missing out on his for his podcast I can really relate, I missed out on getting a spelling bee award in primary school I was devastated. #ImACelebrity."

On Tuesday night, Sam's girlfriend Zara McDermott admitted she was furious as she caught up on the ITV series at home in England. The former Love Island star took to her Instagram Stories to express her frustration over her boyfriend not being put forward for a Bushtucker Trial.

The axed Strictly Come Dancing contestant told her followers: ""I am furious to be honest that Sam is not doing this trial. When they said 'Sam, it might be you' I was thinking 'yessss'.... British public, lets have a word. Jamie lynn spears, bless her soul, crying the whole episode and what do we do? We vote her for a trial. what are we like? Look, I know it's probably going to be good entertainment but please, please... Sam Thompson will be better entertainment, I swear!"

Earlier in the episode, Jamie Lynn shared her feelings with campmates Sam and former EastEnders actress Danielle Harold. She confessed: "I don't know how I'm so emotionally weak." Danielle tried to cheer her up, saying: "You're so strong. This is tough babe, tough. So tough. It's not easy."

Jamie Lynn didn't seem comforted by Danielle's words, responding: "Why am I crying so much? Josie [Gibson} has a baby at home..." Sam, a former Made In Chelsea star, then tried to console an upset Jamie Lynn, telling her: "It's important to remember you've come from a whole different continent, you don't know anyone here, it's hard. It's real hard."

Danielle added: "Look at the s*** you've been through in your life, right? This, a little bit of rain in the jungle, nothing." Jamie Lynn then argued: "But at least all that s*** I could go home to my babies every night, you know? That's it, that's all I need in life. It feels a little bit overwhelming. They're not even close. I've got to just do it. I don't know why I'm being such a baby."
