Fuming fans are annoyed at ITV production bosses for going 'too soft' on campmates in this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

Tuesday night's instalment saw the famous faces, including Britney Spears' sister Jamie-Lynn Spears, TV personality Sam Thompson, This Morning's Josie Gibson, First Dates' Fred Sirieix, YouTuber Nella Rose, former politician Nigel Farage, food critic Grace Dent, JLS star Marvin Humes, EastEnders legend Danielle Harold and Hollyoaks star Nick Pickard, have the opportunity to receive their 'luxury item' - and it's only day three.

Some viewers have complained that's "too soon" for the famous faces to get a message or memory from home in the item normally reserved for later down the line. Jamie Lynn broke down in tears when her parcel was lost by Danielle, Sam, Grace and Marvin who were attempting to win care packages for all the contestants.

Flocking to X, formally Twitter, fans weren't happy that the celebrities were being offered their luxury items already. "I never understand why luxury items are firstly given so soon," penned one viewer. "Secondly why people would pick lip gloss or similar. Moisturiser I get, pillows I get, even photos. Practical or something that will boost morale."

Another wrote: "Will not cope if these people start crying when they get their luxury items. Why are they even getting items so soon, they have only been in there 5 minutes #ImACeleb." While a third penned: "Luxury items 3 days in is a bit soon no?"

Someone else commented: "Isn't it a bit too soon for their luxury items? Normally it's at least 4 days in before they do that." On Tuesday's episode, campmates managed to win Danielle's blow-up lilo, Nella's lip gloss and Nick and Josie's pillows.

Speaking of the personal items, executive producer Olly Nash previously spilled on the rules and regulations, revealing celebrities aren't allowed to bring in books or board games. He explained: "What is the most common over the years? Pillows and photos from home.

"Then you get people like Helen Flanagan who asked for fake tan and then when she got it five days in she already had a tan and she ended up with a bright orange face," he said, per The Sun. "Joey Essex brought in rubber rings to play in the pool. So some people bring in silly stuff."

It comes after YouTube star Nella suffered a huge blow after her heated row with First Dates star Fred. The social media sensation, 26, quickly became a fan-favourite when she burst onto screens on the debut episode of the 2023 series thanks to her bubbly personality and contagious laugh. However, viewers have complained that they have seen a different side to the I'm A Celebrity star following her altercation with Fred, 51, during Tuesday night's instalment of the ITV show.

During the fiery exchange between the two stars, Nella Rose hit out at Fred due to her past family trauma. Viewers watched in disbelief as Fred left the popular YouTube star feeling 'disrespected' and 'offended' with comments he made to her amid several heartbreaking losses in her family. Nella had previously opened up about her father passing away in 2020. She also lost her mother when she was aged 19. During the episode, she claimed First Dates star Fred was aware of her family tragedy and that one of the comments he made left her feeling deeply upset.

While cooking dinner for their campmates, the duo started talking about their ages and Fred mentioned how their age gap meant he could be her dad. Nella said she felt 'disrespected' by the comment and confronted Fred about it afterwards. The heated conversation resulted in many viewers rushing to social media to comment on the row – with many saying the reaction 'came from grief'.

Following the row, Nella took to the Bush Telegraph to say: "I took offence to that because one of the first conversations we had together was me opening up about the fact that my dad’s passed away. I didn’t say anything about it last night because I was kind of just annoyed about it."

Nella also confronted Fred and told him he was being 'disrespectful'. She said: "I don’t want to eat no food that you’re cooking, don’t talk to me, you stay over there, I stay over here and we can live." Fred apologised to her and said: "I am unaware that you felt offended. I am unaware that what I said would lead to this conversation, I only said that in a way because I am older than you, I am 51 and you’re 26."

Following the row, Nella's odds of winning I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! have taken a catastrophic hit, according to Ladbrokes. In just 24 hours, the bookies have revealed the YouTuber's odds have drifted from 16/1 to 50/1, following the controversial falling out with fan favourite, Fred. It's one of the biggest odds shift in recent years on the hit ITV show, with Nella having fast gone from genuine contender to rank outsider, while Josie Gibson continues to lead the way at 15/8 to be crowned Queen of the Jungle. Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "It's amazing what 24 hours can do... this time yesterday morning we were talking about how Nella was fast becoming the one to watch Down Under. We've never seen a campmate's odds take such a drastic hit in such a short space of time."
