Amazon has slashed prices on tons of vinyl records as part of its huge Black Friday sale. The retail giant is offering shoppers savings worth hundreds of pounds throughout its 10-day event, with discounts on everything from tech to homeware.

Music lovers can also make some big savings while growing their record collection with discounts of up to 30% on the revitalised music format. Despite existing in a digital age, vinyl sales have been on the rise for the past 15 years and continue to soar.

Last year, vinyl sales surpassed CD sales in the UK for the first time in 35 years with a record £116.8m in sales, compared to CD sales of £98.3m, Sky News reported. Vinyl’s resurgence has seen most artists now accompanying a new album with a physical release, often with multiple versions and collectors' editions to entice the most fervent collectors.

Amazon is now offering discounts and free delivery on hundreds of vinyl LPs, including limited editions, box sets and Amazon exclusives pressed on a range of colours and quality heavyweight vinyl. Here, we have compiled the biggest and best deals on vinyl in Amazon’s Black Friday sale.

Green Day fans can bag 20% off the Limited 30th Anniversary edition of Dookie pressed on baby blue vinyl for £21.25. Fans can also save 27% on Dookie’s 30th Anniversary Deluxe six-LP box set at £109.39 – a saving of almost £35.

This set includes the pop-punk band’s legendary Woodstock ‘94 performance, 17 unreleased demos, six studio outtakes, and a 17-track unreleased club show from Barcelona in 1994. plus a 36-page 12-inch x 12-inch book and several fun memorabilia items inspired by the Dookie artwork.

Green Day’s 25th Anniversary Edition of Nimrod is also on sale with 17% off at £86.86. The nine-LP box set includes the original album, one disc of previously unreleased Nimrod demos, and a live set from Philadelphia recorded one month after the original album’s release.

Nothing But Thieves’ 2017 sophomore album Broken Machine – pressed on 150 gram vinyl – is 29% off £16.52. Those partial to some prog rock can pick up Pink Floyd’s double-LP greatest hits, A Foot in the Door – pressed on heavyweight 180 gram vinyl – with 20% off at £22.62.

Hip-hop fans can get Wu-Tang Clan's debut, Enter The Wu-Tang Clan (36 Chambers), on coloured vinyl with a 26% discount at £17.60, while its follow up Wu-Tang Forever is 24% off at £32.69. Nas’ acclaimed debut Illmatic on clear vinyl is 30% off at £17.60.

Swifties can now pick up the two-LP Lover – Taylor Swift’s seventh studio album – for £31.70. The number one album features the singles Me!, You Need to Calm Down and title track, Lover and is pressed on pink and turquoise vinyl.

Eric Clapton fans can also make a big saving with the iconic guitarist’s The Definitive 24 Nights deluxe box set, now reduced by almost £55. The eight-LP and three-Blu-ray set features 47 songs and almost six hours of music and is now 25% off at £163.53, while the individual albums – Rock, Orchestral and Blues – can be picked up separately for a combined £92.83.

But Here We Are – the latest album from Foo Fighters – is 20% off at £23.15. The first album released by the band following the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins, the emotional 10-track album features the single Rescued and Show Me How, which features vocals from Dave Grohl’s daughter Violet.

The 20th Anniversary edition of The White Stripes’ seminal 2003 album Elephant is 15% off at £29.74. This version of the rock duo’s fourth album is pressed on white iridescent and red translucent coloured vinyl.

Radiohead’s 2021 triple-album compilation Kid A Mnesia is also 15% off at £38.24. The three-LP set collects the band’s fourth and fifth albums alongside a newly compiled third disc – Kid Amnesiae – which is comprised of unearthed material from the Kid A and Amnesiac sessions.

Fans of British shoegaze outfit Slowdive can pick up their latest album, everything is alive, on limited clear vinyl for £21.24, while Royal Blood’s Back To The Water Below on Amazon exclusive gold vinyl is down to £22.09.

Record Store Day is also launching a special Black Friday sales event, with retailer’s including Rough Trade taking part and more than 90 artists releasing limited edition vinyl records. Many items will only be available to buy in-store from independent record stores on November 24 but any left over will be available to purchase online from November 25.
