BBC Strictly Come Dancing star is 'out of depth' and heading for elimination

One of remaining Strictly Come Dancing stars is a favourite for the next dance off and elimination as they 'don't have very long' left on the BBC programme.

Former tennis player Annabel Croft has been a steady performer in the competition alongside partner Johannes Radebe, yet her time on the Strictly dancefloor could be up and she could find herself in the next dance off in front of the judges. A body language expert and psychologist has spotted that Annabel's nerves could be her downfall as he branded the sports star as 'out of her depth' and said that she and Johannes were 'playing it safe' with their routines.

Darren Stanton, who spoke on behalf of Betfair Casino, has analysed all the competitors and thinks he has spotted the clues for who is leaving next with Annabel and Johannes the likely couple to lose out next. He explained: "Annabel could be the next casualty to leave the competition. Annabel showed regular signs of nervousness and I could sense she felt out of her depth this week. She knows she doesn’t have very long to prove her place on the show."

He added: "At this stage, Angela and Johannes have done well and they are a strong couple in terms of the trust they have with one another. However, they are playing it quite safe and they will need to show they aren’t afraid to take some risks."

Annabel has previously opened up about how the Strictly competition has been comfort since losing her dear husband Mel Coleman to stomach cancer in May. Mel Coleman passed away aged 60, just weeks after he had been diagnosed with stage three cancer. Despite a traumatic six months, Annabel credited the BBC Latin and ballroom show with giving her purpose again.

In a recent interview on This Morning she said: "It has been a horrific year, it was something I’ve never anticipated, this was never meant to be how life was going to be, I thought I had a future with my husband, we’d been together since I was 21, 36 years together and I miss him terribly, there is no question about it."

She continued: "I so want to speak to him about what we are doing, I miss his humour and I really wish that Johannes had met him because I feel like they would have got on so well." Speaking about what the show means for her, she explained: "I think it's given me a purpose to get up in the morning and with some of the dances we've done, we've had such an incredible response - particularly our couple's choice dance."

Annabel had previously explained how the grief comes in "waves" for her. She shared: "Obviously the grief comes in waves and their are many days where you're just sobbing at home but with Strictly and meeting Johannes and going on this journey together, it literally has distracted me from all of that pain. And they're are days, I mean poor Johannes has had to cope with quite a few in the rehearsal rooms and everything. I have such fond memories of Mel in our kitchen calling us all in to watch Johannes because he just thought he was amazing, he would pause Strictly and watch it back.

"It's bittersweet. Because I really wanted them to meet and I'm heartbroken Mel isn't here to see this journey. But I have struck gold. Johannes is just the most amazing human being. You have the most amazing energy, incredible kindness and patience. You are an unbelievable dancer, but also an unbelievable teacher."
