MAFS UK's JJ says he did have sex with Ella during the experiment
Married At First Sight star JJ Slater has confirmed he did sleep with co-star Ella Morgan, despite initial denials.
The 30-year-old fashion business owner was initially married to Bianca Petronzi, 29, on the hit E4 show. However, he caught the eye of 29-year-old Ella who dropped her own husband, 36-year-old Nathanial Valentino, to embark on a romance with JJ.
Ella made MAFS history by joining the cast of season eight, which aired this autumn, as she became the first transgender bride to appear on the series. And she and JJ won over many fans as their relationship blossomed over the course of the show – despite the marriage wrecking start of their romance and the pair deciding to call it quits at the vow renewal.
Now JJ has revealed that he and Ella took their relationship to a physical level as they slept together during homestay week, despite initially denying they had been intimate. The relationship development was not aired during the course of the show, but the TV star has revealed all now.
JJ Slater has revealed he slept with Married At First Sight co-star Ella Morgan (E4)Confirming he had consulted Ella in order to ensure they were both happy for their sex life to be discussed in public, JJ told the MailOnline: "We don't want anything that's not true to be out there so now I feel the need to put the record straight... We did take our relationship to the next level. It was during my homestay... the pressure was off a little bit because we were outside of the bubble and there wasn't anyone else around us with their opinions."

JJ said he and Ella felt it was "right" that they consummate their relationship. He explained: "We had a bit of time away and it was a reassuring time in our relationship." JJ added how the moment between the pair "felt natural and right" but insisted they didn't "rush" into taking the big step together.
And the Essex boy added the fact Ella is transgender does not faze him, despite cruel criticism from ignorant trolls. He said: "I don't see it as a big thing, Ella is like any other woman I have ever been with, and I see Ella as a woman." The MAFS groom praised Ella for being "very open with her transition" and said the star "shares the same genitalia as any other woman I have been with".
Ella made MAFS UK history as the first transgender bride of the series - but she ditched husband Nathanial in favour of JJ (Channel 4)JJ previously hit out at transphobic viewers who called him ignorantly gay for being in a relationship with Ella. He came under particular fire via TikTok and composed a video to tell his critics to back off.
The reality star said at the time: "Am I bi now? No! I see Ella as a girl. I don’t know how many times I have to say that. The thing is everyone in the experiment saw Ella as a woman and a girl because that’s what she is."
He won support from his MAFS co-star Luke Worley, who said: "Ella to me is a woman. I had never been around someone trans so I had to personally be educated. I look at trans people totally different now. I had to have this conversation with Ella because I needed to be educated as well.
"Speak to your friends about it in your group chat or privately not on a comment or a post. Speak aoout it privately if you want to have a rant. I think people forget they think we're just characters, we aren't." Despite getting on well during the course of the series, JJ and Ella are no longer together – having decided to split at the final vow ceremony of the season.
