Katherine Jenkins stuns in festive red coat just days after personal tragedy
Katherine Jenkins looked as stunning as ever as she enjoyed a festive day out at LaplandUK dressed in a eye-catching red coat.
The opera singer got in the Christmas spirit as she rocked cosy red coat along with a black top and tights to join families at the popular Christmas experience. She accessorised her look with black boots and light makeup with her blonde hair straightened.
Katherine was seen posing for pictures in a snowy woodland setting as she joined families at the recently re-opened Lapland UK, just in time for Christmas. LaplandUK is an immersive experience in Whitmoor Forest where 'small folk' are transported to a winter wonderland complete with real reindeer, a toy factory, a magical forest and festive shops.
Katherine's outing comes after a tough few days for the star who last week mourned the anniversary of her close friend's passing. The 43-year-old shared a touching tribute to her Instagram page about two close friends who had passed away.
She mentioned her close friend Polly Noble, who died in 2014 after being diagnosed with cancer, and her brother-in-law Gavin Johnson, who passed away three years ago. Both of which would've been celebrating their birthdays last week.

And thinking too of my brother in law Gavin who also should be celebrating another year today. Taken too soon but always in our thoughts."
Fans took to the comments to show their support. One said: "I’m so sorry you lost these people so dear to you x". As another added: "A sad time for you x"
A third wrote: "Aww Happy Heavenly Birthday Polly & Gavin my thoughts are with you Katherine & all the family May they RIP God bless."
"I had the privilege to meet Polly once and wow, her kindness and strength really shone through," a follower wrote as another commented: "Thinking of you Katherine and sending my love to you all. Xx".
Katherine is best known for being one of the biggest selling classical artists of the century with 14 number one albums across her illustrious career. Throughout she has managed to tour around the world, singing at some of the biggest venues such as the Royal Albert Hall in London and the Opera House in Sydney.
However, she recently took a step away from the music industry and instead is moving towards the alcohol market. She is behind a new brand of gin called Cygnet, which she launched at Cardiff's John Lewis store last month.
Katherine said that it was her dad who inspired her to create her own gin. Speaking to WalesOnline, she said: "My dad was in the Navy and gin is the drink of the Navy. Then, when I went to the Royal Academy of Music to study, they talked to us about alcohol and our voices and said: 'There are certain clean alcohols and there are certain things that you can't drink'.
"Back then, things like gin and tonics weren't on the clean list, and so in the back of my mind I thought that I wanted to create a really ultra premium product - something that my singing teacher would be proud of."
