CEL Solicitors claws back over £50 million for UK consumers

CEL Solicitors, the UK’s biggest fraud recovery experts, has helped consumers claim over £50 million lost to scammers.

The law firm, which is rated excellent on TrustPilot, assists fraud and scam victims who feel more could have been done to protect them from fraud.

Victims of fraud can report scams directly to their bank and ask for a refund if they think the bank could have done more to protect them.

If the bank says no, they can also complain directly to the Financial Ombudsman. However, thousands of consumers are choosing CEL Solicitors to represent them in their fraud and scam claims.

CEL Solicitors investigate the fraud and prepare a robust case on behalf of their clients. They can also bring legal proceedings, where a scammer can be identified.

Raising awareness of fraud and scams

A 2022 ONS report estimated that 3.7 million fraud offences were committed in the UK last year. However, it is believed a lot more cases go unreported due to the stigma and shame associated with being scammed.

CEL Solicitors is looking to change that by raising awareness of fraud and increasing education around scams through its scam awareness radio campaign, in partnership with Bauer Media and voiced by Julia Bradbury, during International Fraud Awareness Week.
