Britney Spears reportedly reacted furiously when she discovered that her estranged sister Jamie Lynn would be joining the I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! 2023 lineup.

Jamie Lynn, 32, has left her family behind in the US to join the likes of This Morning star Josie Gibson and former Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson in the Australian jungle. Earlier this month, The Mirror exclusively revealed that the married mum-of-two would be appearing on the ITV show after the colossal fallout with her superstar big sister Britney, 41.

The singer and actress famously fell out with the Toxic singer amid anger around the conservatorship which was placed on Britney for 13-years. In 2021, Britney's lengthy conservatorship was reevaluated in court and by the public.

At the time, her relationship with younger sister Jamie Lynn became more strained, and the two sisters publicly feuded over the release of Jamie Lynn's memoir, Things I Should Have Said: Family, Fame, and Figuring it Out - which came out earlier this year.

After bagging a spot on the 2023 I'm A Celebrity lineup, Jamie Lynn has been welcomed by the British public. However, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton has said that Britney is not one bit pleased about the fact her estranged sister has been thrown back into the limelight amid their ongoing feud.

Speaking to Closer, Perez, 45, revealed that he has spoken to Britney since the news of Jamie Lynn's jungle journey dropped, and that the singer will most definitely be tuning in to watch if her estranged sibling mentions their strained relationship.

"Britney will be watching. I imagine she will be watching clips on social media as Britney consumes a lot of it - and she always pays attention to what her family does," Perez shared. "I will imagine she will be scared about anything Jamie Lynn might say - but I don't think she wants to cause drama."

Lifting the lid on Britney's reaction to Jamie Lynn joining the show, Perez admitted that he thinks it will have caused even more of a rift between the estranged sisters. "Whether Jamie likes it or not, going on the show will have made the feud between her and Britney worse. Britney will be angry because she'll think Jamie Lynn is only going on it because of her connection to her - she'll be upset and feel exploited."

It comes after Jamie Lynn claimed she spoke to her singer sister Britney before she came into camp, insisting "we love each other".

The actor has been involved in a public war or words with her superstar sister in recent months after both of them released books, and Britney insisted her younger sister should have helped her regain control of her life. Britney also said Jamie Lynn behaved like a "total b***h" growing up.

Despite their problems, Jamie Lynn told Fred Sirieix they were speaking again. She said: “I think every family fights and has their stuff but I talked to her before I came here and we love each other.”

Jamie Lynn and Britney are no longer thought to be close and it was noticeable that Jamie Lynn did not mention Britney in any of the promotional interviews for ITV, in the lead up to the show starting.
