Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have flown to Canada to save the Invictus Games after reports of "chaos" brewing behind the scenes.

Last week it was reported that the Duke of Sussex's Invictus Games were reportedly in turmoil. It came after two senior executives were said to have been "dismissed for no apparent reason" more than a year before the next event.

The couple, who stepped back as senior members of the Royal Family in 2020, attended an NHL ice hockey game last night to witness the Vancouver Canucks beat the San Jose Sharks 3-1 from a VIP box at the Rogers Arena. And while at the game, the couple promoted the next Invictus Games despite the reported chaos behind the scenes.

Last week a whistle-blower told the MailOnline that CEO Peter Lawless, a lawyer and arguably Canada's most respected Olympic and Paralympic administrator, left his job abruptly, which in turn left staff morale "at an all time low." A spokesperson for the Games said Lawless had been "transitioned out" and was "no longer an employee" but urged that he would remain an ambassador.

Also reportedly leaving the team is Bill Cooper, former Chief Commercial Officer, who left in October. He was said to have thanked colleagues for their support after several praised him while accusing the prestigious Games of making a mistake by getting rid of him.

Some staff are said to be "concerned that these recent moves will again overshadow this incredible event for our veterans", it was also claimed.

But despite the brewing "chaos", while at the NHL game last night in Canada, the Sussexes looked incredibly content as they sat beside one another watching the game. They were also seen rising from their seats to cheer.

The couple, who are in Canada to promote the next upcoming Invictus Games which will be held in Vancouver and Whistler in February 2025, were seemingly keen to show their support for winter sports as the Invictus Games prepares to include these sports for the first time.

The Sussexes’ latest outing comes after Meghan’s surprise appearance at the Variety Power Of Women event in Los Angeles, Last Thursday the former Suits actress attended the glitzy event to celebrate the accomplishments of women in the entertainment industry.

While at the event, Meghan looked chic in a beige gown while posing for photos on the red carpet. Also while on the red carpet, the Duchess teased some exciting projects that she and Harry have been working on. "We have so many exciting things on the slate… I can’t wait until we can announce them, but I’m just really proud of what we’re creating. My husband is loving it too which is really fun," she gushed.
