I’m A Celebrity viewers were not happy and demanded a change to the public vote, after a Bushtucker Trial announcement.

Viewers were tasked once again by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly with voting for the star on the line-up they hoped to see take on the trial. The next challenge would see one name take on No Time To Cry, and voting opened during the show.

At the end of the episode on Monday, Ant and Dec walked into camp to announce who had been picked by viewers for the trial. It came down to Jamie Lynn Spears and Nella Rose who would be chosen, just a day on from Nella facing another trial with Nigel Farage.

Nella was chosen by the public for the next challenge, as confirmed by the hosts, leaving her uneasy once more - while Jamie Lynn was clearly relieved. But viewers watching at home were not as thrilled by the news.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, many fans called out the result and demanded a shake-up to how the person is chosen. In previous series we have seen the same contestant take on trial after trial, and while many viewers loved seeing Nella do them, some fans didn't want things to get repetitive.

Nella has certainly been entertaining so far in any challenge she has done, but it's not enough for some viewers who want to see all of the celebrities have a go. Calling for the show to disallow the same person to be voted for every trial, one fan commented: "Going to be annoying if the public keep voting the same person."

Another agreed: "pls can we not vote the same person all the time... it happens every year and just gets repetitive," as a third added: "How about not voting the same person every night this year pls." A fourth said: "See at this point it gets predictable. Picking the same person over and over til we can't vote anymore," while a fifth comment read: "I can’t be doing with seeing the same person doing all the trials again this year."

It comes amid the show facing a loss in ratings after the launch, amid viewers boycotting the series over the inclusion of Nigel Farage. His signing for a reported £1.5million fee in the jungle looks to have backfired for I'm A Celebrity bosses.

The opening night's ratings dropped by millions compared to the 2022 ITV series it’s been revealed. The first show of 2023 featuring Farage being gunked during a challenge in the outback 2000 miles from camp, pulled in a peak audience of 7.8million and an average of 7million. This was down around 2million on the same show on ITV last year.

It comes as thousands of fans decided to boycott watching the year because of the inclusion of Brexit campaigner Farage. They made their feelings clear on social media where #BoycottImACeleb was trending on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Sunday night.

Last year fans were unhappy former Health Secretary Matt Hancock was on the show, and for some it seems Farage is the final straw. When told that some people might not watch the new series because of his inclusion, Farage told the Mirror last week he expected to help ITV get MORE viewers by bringing his own supporters to the show for the first time.

He boasted: "Do you know what? There's a lot more people who haven't watched the programme that know me or supported me - some of the millions that have supported me over the years - I think net, I'll bring people to the programme, not diminish. All right? Anyone who's a lover of I'm A Celebrity who doesn't watch it just because I'm on it has got to be an incredibly small-minded person."
