Major UK supermarkets including Asda, Morrisons and Tesco have issued “do not eat” warnings after recalling several popular treats.

Asda has pulled The Bakery 20 Chocolate Caramel Mini Crisp Bites 200g because some boxes may contain egg which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg. The recall affects all items with best before dates up to and including December 14, 2023.

Morrisons has also issued its own warning about two different items. The supermarket has recalled Morrisons Market Street 18 Caramel Crispy Bites, again because of undeclared egg, including packs with best before dates up to, and including, December 12, 2023.

Morrisons has also pulled its own-brand Morrisons Free From Gluten Choco Crackles 300g because it contains hazelnuts, milk, and gluten-free oats which are not mentioned on the label. This notice affects packs with a best before date of September 18, 2024.
