Glastonbury 2024 line-up and rumours as festival tickets go on sale
While it might seem a long way off, talk of next year's summer festival season has already got underway as Glastonbury organisers release the details for its 2024 event.
Festival-goers will descend on Somerset's Worthy Farm to catch the latest talent and massive headline acts in a huge celebration of music. The iconic festival has become the highlight of the summer for many and those lucky enough to secure one of the 200,000 tickets are certainly in for a good time.
Here is a round up of everything you need to know for Glastonbury 2024 from when tickets go on sale to how much it will cost and what the stellar lineup is looking like so far.

The iconic music festival is set to return to Worthy Farm in Somerset from Wednesday 26 June until Sunday 30 June. Most of the music will take place on June 28, 29, 30. If you are not lucky enough to secure tickets, there will be live coverage on the TV instead.
When can I get tickets?
In a sudden change, tickets for next year's event will go on sale two weeks after initially planned. They were due to go on sale in early November, on Thursday 2 November, festival-goers were set to buy their tickets plus coach travel. General admission tickets were due to go on sale at 9am on Sunday 5 November.

The new dates for ticket sales are 6pm Thursday 16 November for ticket plus coach travel. General admission tickets will go on sale at 9am Sunday 19 November. Glastonbury have said: "This is to ensure that everyone who would like to buy a ticket is registered and therefore eligible to purchase one."
It comes after "some individuals hoping to buy tickets for 2024 have discovered after Monday's registration deadline that they are no longer registered, despite believing they were." Their official statement read: "Out of fairness to those individuals, we will be re-opening the window for registration at 12 noon on Monday, 6th November. It will remain open until 5pm on Monday, 13th November."
All tickets are sold exclusively at glastonbury.seetickets.com and anyone wishing to head to Worthy Farm must be registered. In an effort to tackle ticket touting, all attendees have to be registered in advance of the ticket sale. The official Glastonbury advice is to submit any registrations at least a week before it closes. They said: "We urge everyone hoping to buy a ticket to Glastonbury 2024 to either check their existing registration https://glas.to/lookup now or submit new registration, which remains free of charge, at https://glastonburyregistration.co.uk, from 12 noon on Monday."
It is noted that registration does not guarantee tickets and children aged 12 and under are admitted free of charge and do not need a ticket, and do not need to register. Even if you are already registered, the festival encourage you to check the details of your existing registration well ahead of the ticket sales, and can be done here.
If you are unsuccessful in securing a ticket in November, not all is lost. There will be another chance next year as Glastonbury release resale tickets in the Spring which is where any returned tickets go back on sale.
Once again there will be two sales – one for coach tickets and one for general sale – giving hopeful festival-goers four opportunities to grab tickets for the 2024 festival.
Ticket prices
(Getty Images)For 2024, a ticket to Glastonbury will cost £355 plus a £5 booking fee. It’s an increase of £20 from the 2023 event, which cost £335 plus booking fee. A £75 deposit (plus coach fare if booking a Ticket + Coach travel option) is payable when booking in November, with the balance payable in the first week of April 2024. Coach pricing depends on which city you would be travelling from and will be added to your overall ticket cost.
UK tickets can now be purchased with a UK Debit Card or Visa or Mastercard Credit Cards. International tickets can only be bought by Visa Credit Card or Mastercard Credit Card.
How to get tickets
On the day tickets go on sale a limited number of people will be allowed access to the booking site at any one time. There will be a holding page that will automatically refresh to look for space on the booking page every 20 seconds. Glastonbury fans are warned that if there is large traffic on the site, they may see a reduced version of the See Tickets booking site - it does not mean it has crashed.
When on the booking site, customers will be asked to enter the registration number and registered postcode for the lead booker and up to 5 other people for whom they are attempting to book tickets. You will not be allowed to amend details afterwards.

If choosing the Ticket + Coach travel option, you must select your departure town. Travel on the coach you select is mandatory in order to receive your Festival ticket.

Generally, the first big batch of artists lands in March, although sometimes a handful of acts are confirmed beforehand – Elton John was announced for Glastonbury 2023 back in December 2022.
No official line-up has been announced yet but there have been plenty of rumours already. Glastonbury co-organiser Emily Eavis hinted that the line-up for the five-day event in June is still "a little up in the air". However, she revealed she hopes there will be two female headliners.
Days after ticket sales for next year's festival were pushed back, it was reported that three headliners had been leaked. MailOnline claimed that Madonna, Dua Lipa and Coldplay would be taking to Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm next year.
However, Emily shot down the report as "untrue", writing on X, formally known as Twitter: "As always, there is much speculation and excitement about who is playing next year at Glastonbury. “We are working on the line-up day and night at the moment, but it's still changing every day.
"The story about our confirmed headliners is untrue. As always, we love your enthusiasm and guesswork – but accurate news on headliners will be with you sometime in the new year!”
Line-up rumours
Emily had previously revealed that the representatives for a "really big American artist" had recently reached out. Last month it was reported Madonna was in advanced talks to take to the stage at Glastonbury. The Glastonbury organiser has shared her love for Madonna on Instagram and recently watched the queen of pop at London's O2 Arena. Fans were left convinced this hint confirms Madonna will be headlining.
It has also been reported Bruce Springsteen could be taking to the Pyramid Stage next summer. His chances of returning to the world-famous event increased after he announced new tour dates. He will head to the UK and Ireland with his E Street Band in May and July. Dua Lipa, Coldplay and Pink are also favoured highly by bookmakers.
Fans also hope Oasis, or at least Liam Gallagher, will make an appearance as he launches his Definitely Maybe tour. There is a gap in his schedule over the Glastonbury weekend, making fans hopeful the band will be there. Eavis has revealed that she is hoping to release the line-up in the new year
Elton John, Arctic Monkeys and Guns N' Roses topped the bill this year. Emily said: “This year, we did have a female headliner, and she unfortunately had to pull out . . . it changes all the time. But next year it's looking like we’ve got two female headliners, so fingers crossed.”
