Justin Timberlake has been shown a fair amount of support in the wake of Britney Spears' abortion revelation, which came to light in the singer's new memoir last month.

In October, ahead of the pop superstar speaking out in her memoir titled The Woman In Me, extracts of Britney's book were unleashed. One of the excerpts addressed the difficult time and how Justin, who was the singer's then-boyfriend, "wasn't happy" when she told him she was pregnant.

In the book, Britney claimed that the Cry Me A River singer said they weren't ready to be parents, which led to her ending the pregnancy. And after the abortion revelation came to light, Justin received a slew of backlash.

But amid the backlash, Justin also received quite a bit of support. His band *NSYNC were among JT's supporters, with his longtime collaborator Timbaland also seemingly showing his support.

Towards the end of October, a source said Justin's bandmates Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and JC Chasez "have nothing but love for Justin" in the wake of the abortion bombshell. Speaking to TMZ, the source also said the pals would be "more than happy to be back performing with him".

And the day after the above new broke, 44-year-old Lance, told TMZ: Look, everyone has their own opinion. I feel like the world is so full of hate right now and we need to practise a little forgiveness. Britney did. Let’s take a note from her.”

Earlier this month, Timbaland was also among the names to be linked with supporting Justin. According to an insider who spoke to the Daily Mail, Timbaland - whose real name is Timothy Zachery Mosley - is trying to get Justin into the studio to write a song in "response to all the haters".

Speaking to the outlet, the insider said that Timbaland will "protect" his relationship with JT "at all costs". Adding: "Everyone jumps to all sorts of conclusions immediately, and Justin is an easy target right now.

"Timbaland actually wants to use all this energy and get Justin in the studio to write a song about it all, to give his response to all the haters."

Earlier this month, Deux Moi's podcast Deux U revealed that Justin would speak out in his own time. The podcast host read out a message they received: "He [Justin] will be breaking his silence eventually. His plan isn't to just ignore it.

"He will have his say. And that, yes, his recollection of events 20+ years ago differ quite a bit from Britney's account. But he is currently not prepared to go there."

The message concluded: "At some point he will be ready to talk, but how specific he gets into recounting past events remains to be seen. Many people would like to see him stay above it and not get down into the granularity of it all."
