Denise Van Outen has broken her silence days after her ex Eddie Boxshall appeared to take a brutal swipe at her after she announced she was single again.

The 49-year-old looked like she was putting her relationship woes behind her as she took to the decks for a DJ gig at Heathrow airport on Thursday night. Looking amazing in black leather trousers, a multi-colour sequin top and platform boots, Denise was all smiles as she posed for photos.

She captioned the post: “DJ set @sofitellondon5 Terminal 5 (Heathrow) private function. Thanks @eventsincltd @pioneerdjglobal @nosiykitchenhq.” Fans were quick to comment underneath with one saying: “You look fantastic” as another wrote: “Stunning as ever!"

Her appearance comes days after Denise announced she had split with boyfriend of 18 months Jimmy Barba, who she met through their mutual friend Shaznay Lewis from girl band All Saints. The pair went public with their relationship last year not long after ex Eddie's cheating scandal had emerged. Denise has since revealed the whirlwind romance has come to an end but the pair remain friends.

"We have decided to part ways, but we remain great friends, and our families and children are still in touch," Denise told the . Despite their break-up, she and Jimmy still follow each other on and have kept their romantic photos on their profiles.

Ex Eddie, on the other hand, recently said he is the "happiest he's ever been" after announcing he was in a new relationship. He even posted a picture of him on his social media cuddling a blonde woman, who fans quickly noticed looked a lot like Denise.

He also took to to share a clip of Queen's hit song, Another One Bites the Dust and captioned the video, "Next please....." in a likely jab at former fiancée Denise, whom he dated for seven years before their 2022 split.

The former couple, who met on a blind date in 2014 set up by Zoe Hardman, reportedly separated after Denise discovered unfaithful messages on Eddie's phone. Eddie later admitted to sending up to 20 sex texts to other women behind her back.

Speaking about the cheating scandal, Denise previously said: "Obviously those things weren’t nice to go through, but where I’m at now with Jimmy [Barba], who has such a good energy, everything was worth it. Honestly, I feel like I’m in a nice, happy, good place. I wouldn’t change anything."

Eddie has since said he is "deeply sorry" and "ashamed" when the cheating scandal broke. He has since found love again with a personal trainer from Essex. People were quick to notice she looks a lot like the former Big Breakfast star but Eddie had a snappy response when his followers commented on his name flame's appearance.

Uploading a shot with his new girlfriend, the pair smiled as he captioned the shot: "Bank holiday", with a big love heart and then Eddie included the hashtags "#shhhthereyougo #idontdohating #thankstothenicepeople #happy". Someone commented: "Anyone going to state the obvious?", before Eddie then quickly responded in an apparent dig at his former romance: "Yeah, I'm happier than I've ever been... Well spotted."
