Prince Harry has not held back in his memoir including bombshell revelations about drug taking in the past which include the time a toilet spoke back to him after he had taken magic mushrooms.

Many leaks and the sale by accident in Spain of Harry's memoir, Spare, has resulted in a flurry of explosive revelations from his autobiography, due out next week.

He has tackled a series of controversial issues in his private life from his frictious relationship with his brother William, who he calls his arch nemesis, to killing Taliban fighters in Afghanistan while in the British Army.

Since leaving the UK in 2000, the Sussexes have made their home in California where Harry and Meghan have regularly been critical of life in the Royal Family.

And now hot on the back of their Netflix series, Harry has talked about his troubles growing up as a royal and his experiences taking drugs.

Cocaine taking aged 17 on a hunting weekend.

Harry has gone into detail about how he took cocaine when he was around 17 at a hunting party and had taken more since.

He said how he was not a happy teenager at that time and was willing to do things that would change the situation.

“It wasn’t much fun, and it didn’t make me particularly happy, as it seemed to make everyone around me,” he said, reported The Sun.

He added that taking cocaine did not make him feel any different which was the main reason why he had taken it.

Magic mushrooms

The Duke goes into detail about the effects of taking magic mushrooms and how he started hallucinating with a toilet seat turning into a head.

Harry told how he was with friends and went to a fridge for a drink and while there they saw black diamond mushroom chocolates.

As they were told they were for everyone, he and a pal ate some along with some tequila.

Then before long he was hallucinating and Harry said that a bin in a bathroom started to grin at him after turning into a head.

Harry continued: “I laughed, turned away, took a p***. Now the loo became a head too. The bowl was its gaping maw, the hinges of the seat were its piercing silver eyes. It said, ‘Aaah’,” reported The Sun.

He had previously touched on taking drugs in a bid to deal with losing his mother Princess Diana during an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

He confessed to Oprah that he used alcohol and drugs as a method to cope with his failing mental health.

The Duke opened up to the American presenter for the Apple TV series The Me You Can't See, where he admitted that he was "willing to take drugs" while struggling to process the death of his mum - but confessed that he was "trying to mask something".

Harry told Oprah: "I was willing to drink, I was willing to take drugs. I was willing to do the things that made me feel less like I was feeling.

"But I slowly became aware that, ok, I wasn't drinking Monday to Friday but I would probably drink a week's worth in one day on a Friday or a Saturday night.

"And I would find myself drinking not because I was enjoying it but because I was trying to mask something."
