TV presenter Angellica Bell has made a return to presenting after being quietly cut from her previous job on The Martin Lewis Money Show.

The presenter, who has built up a huge career across children's TV and daytime programmes, made her comeback hosting a segment on Lorraine on ITV today (Thursday 16 November). Presenting a feature with Lorraine's Change And Check Choir and its single Golden, Angellica spoke about the group's bid to climb the charts and hit the Number One spot in the UK Charts.

The song, which also features Joss Stone, is on a charity mission as it aims to raise funds for breast cancer. On the show, Angellica told Lorraine: "I know people who have died [from cancer]. A special friend of mine from university died of breast cancer really, really young. I know you have been able to help people and women to understand their bodies, to check and understand that these things are real." She then added of the song: "It's amazing - it's really, really good."

The appearance comes just after Angellica was told she would no longer be required to appear on The Martin Lewis Money Show, which she has appeared on for the past six years. Former kids TV presenter Angellica has worked on the BAFTA-nominated finance show since 2017, and signed up to present the rebranded version of The Gadget Show – Shop Smart, Save Money.

However, when it was reported that the move presented a 'conflict of interest, due to it becoming another consumer money programme, Angellica was swiftly axed from the ITV show. After mum-of-two Angellica left the Martin Lewis Money Show Live, she was replaced by former Olympian and broadcaster Jeanette Kwakye instead.

A source close to the show previously told The Sun: "Angellica was a valued part of the team having joined in series seven, but, given the importance of maintaining a clear, individual and distinct identity for the show it was felt that her new role meant she would not be offered a new contract to continue on the Martin Lewis Money Show Live.

“The Martin Lewis Money Show Live production team did not become aware that Angelica's new show would be called Shop Smart, Save Money until that programme was announced to the media in late September, with filming for it involving Angellica having already started prior to that. An amicable discussion was held with her regarding the situation."

ITV reps have responded to the claims, as they told The Sun in a statement: "Angellica is not working on the Martin Lewis Money Show Live, however, the relationship with her remains amicable and we are working with her on other forthcoming programmes."
