Robbie Williams flies his four children in economy while he and wife Ayda Field sit in first class.

The singer, 49, and his wife, 44, want to encourage their children to learn that sitting in first class is a privilege – and one they have to pay for themselves. Ayda says: “My kids fly economy whenever we fly. I turn left and they turn right. That’s terrible. I mean, people will think I’m such a d***.”

But speaking to the Sunday Times, she adds: “There’s no interest in raising brats. My kids will know [economy] is where they will sit in a plane until they can pay to put themselves in a different part of the plane.” The couple, who are parents to Teddy, 11, Charlie, nine, Coco, five and Beau, three, are not the only stars teaching their kids to work hard for success.

TV chef Gordon Ramsay, 57, married to Tana, 49, says not allowing their six children in first class keeps them “grounded”. He previously added: “They haven’t worked anywhere near hard enough to afford that. I do not want them sat there with a 10 course f***ing menu with champagne. It is my wife and I’s choice to keep them real.”

The couple will give each of their kids a 25% deposit on a flat but not buy it to continue teaching them the value of cash. And Ramsay said he will not leave them his inheritance.
