A coloured image showing the "Gimbal UFO" has emerged, sparking intrigue.

Navy jet footage revealed intriguing images of a government-confirmed UFO, sparking widespread speculation on the internet. This comes as part of the United States Government's initiative, the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), established in 2022 to investigate reports of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and collect data on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP).

The footage, known as the "Gimbal UFO", was reportedly captured from a US Navy F/A-18 jet. Unlike previously released black-and-white imagery, this new video presents a coloured image of the UFO. The object, displaying a silver or grey hue with occasional blue glowing parts, reveals more details than the government-released footage, which primarily showed the shape of the mysterious object flying over clouds.

On social media platform X (formerly Twitter), users are actively discussing the new video. Some are questioning its authenticity, speculating whether the footage is stabilized or animated. Concerns have been raised about the resolution of the video, with some users suggesting that clearer cameras are available to the Navy.

One user noted, "Sure does look like the same flight pattern. Didn’t expect an orb though." Another user questioned the authenticity, simply stating, "Stabilized/animated?" While a third user expressed skepticism, suggesting, "Probably fake given the potato cam resolution given we know they [The Navy] have much clearer cameras." The debate on social media unfolded as the footage circulated, with individuals scrutinizing details and raising concerns about the video's legitimacy.

Notably, the circulation of this footage coincides with the announcement of the Pentagon's UFO chief, Sean Kirkpatrick, stepping down, citing concerning activity. Kirkpatrick has hinted at a forthcoming release of a package containing new material, including operational videos and historical documents.

He expressed the hope that the evidence could either confirm the existence of extraterrestrial life or unveil potentially problematic activities conducted by other entities in Earth's vicinity. He told Politico: "We’ve got a package of a lot of new material that we’ve got ready for release.

"We’ve uncovered some things that we are having declassified. Not just operational videos, but historical documents. The best thing that could come out of this job is to prove that there are aliens — because the alternative is a much bigger problem. If we don’t prove it’s aliens, then what we’re finding is evidence of other people doing stuff in our backyard. And that’s not good."
