Rebekah Vardy could dish all on the Wagatha Christie drama on Celebrity Big Brother.

Top dogs at ITV are believed to have the WAG at the top of their lists as they draw up names for the upcoming series which is due to return to screens next year. It comes days after Big Brother bosses announced the show will return following the success of the revival civillian programme which has drawn in millions of viewers.

Celebrity Big Brother last aired on Channel 5 in 2018 with Ryan Thomas winning the series, with the late Kirstie Alley placing second. As viewing figures dropped on the network, bosses made the decision to axe the show before ITV saw a gap in the market and quickly snapped it up five years later.

Sources have now claimed that ITV could go all out to ensure that Jamie Vardy's wife will sign up for the show following a turbulent four years after her dramatic fallout with Coleen Rooney. A source told The Sun: "Rebekah is the show's No1 target, there's no getting away from it. Bosses know she'll be perfect fodder for the show and that she won't hold back on saying what she thinks.

"They also hope she won't be slow coming forward on saying how she feels about Coleen and her husband Wayne. She will be TV gold!" Meanwhile, a Big Brother spokesperson told the Mirror: "Any names suggested for Celebrity Big Brother are speculation."

In recent years, Rebekah has hit the headlines for her feud with Coleen, who accused her of selling her private Instagram Stories to the media – a claim that Rebekah continues to strongly deny. Coleen, 37, became suspicious that a close friend was leaking posts so set up a trap to discover who it was.

The former television personality posted a string of fake stories, including a flood in the basement of her Cheshire mansion which was subsequently leaked. She claimed only one person.... Rebekah Vardy's account was able to view the stories. A High Court judge later ruled in favour of Rooney, which meant Rebekah was required to pay a substantial amount in legal fees.

Last week, ITV2's director of reality commissioning and acquisitions and controller, Paul Mortimer shared his excitement over the turn of Celebrity Big Brother. He said: "The reception from our viewers to Big Brother's return has been fantastic. We're therefore thrilled to announce that we'll be bringing our very own celebrity edition to ITV1 and ITVX next year. Casting is underway to find a new batch of famous faces who are sure to provide more iconic and unmissable BB moments."
