Love Island star Whitney Adebayo is said to have not been tempted by huge brand deals after leaving the villa and instead went back to her old job.

She appeared in the latest series of the hit ITV2 show and made it to the final alongside her boyfriend Lochan Nowacki. Yet Whitney, 26, turned down huge offers upon returning back to the UK. Unlike many of her co-stars, the Londoner wasn't tempted by endorsements and wanted to return to selling wigs.

Whitney shared a screenshot of a message from Hannah Holland, CEO of HLD Talent, where she made the surprise revelation. She wrote: "We didn't accept the 6 figure brand deal... instead we worked on a long term strategy, carefully chose what campaigns best suited Whitney whilst keeping what made her special and different at her core.

"One of the key focuses was Whitney's IP and whilst you may not see, 'Whitney signs 6 figure brand deal with...' you will see, 'Whitney Adebayo relaunches her wig brand with fellow islanders for the first campaign by an islander focused on the black community with her fellow islanders.'

"This campaign is quite simply special. A talent's worth is not valued by a brand, let that sink in. As Whitney put into her own words, 'I've been in the hair industry for five years now, it's a beautiful art that's somehow slipped under the radar. It's more than just hair, it's an umbrella complex that slips into the everyday lives of many. My goal is to highlight this world for the credit that it deserves.

"Times up, this is what I've been holding back for... introducing @cchairnco full YouTube out tomorrow. 20/11/23 we go live. This campaigns for the queens they refused to see.' I'm so proud to have been part of the team to re launch CC. Hair, plan and execute the shoot. I am so proud of Whitney. YouTube out tonight 6pm. Re launch 20/11/2023. Not to mention we have a few more things to still be released this year/ early next year!"

Whitney's brand CC Hair - which stands for Candy Corner - offers wigs, closures and accessories. Her products feature both real and synthetic hair and styles that blend the hairline with the skin. The TV star started her business when she was at university. She recently opened up on the reason she launched her brand.

Speaking to GKBarry on the Saving Grace podcast, Whitney said: “Like a lot of us girls, I’ve always had a passion for hair, however I noticed a lot of flaws in the hair industry that I couldn't overlook which is why I started Candy Corner in my second year of university. The goal was to break traditional beauty standards and social status rooted in the hair industry and build a community that comes together to genuinely support each other through their love of hair.”
